** Please see update below*** I ordered 2 of these and BOTH had issues with assembly. I have assembled MANY pieces of furniture and some were worse than this others way easier. Directions were off, parts mismarked, groove for drawer bottom not fully cut out at edges, foot would not screw into one leg without extra 'persuasion' ...overall a beautiful piece once assembled. I would rate assembly 2.5 and the item 5.
***seller responded promptly to my issue and provided satisfactory resolution. Seller also said they would contact factory to correct assembly issues. Great Seller, excellent communication! So I changed my 4* to a 5*
This is a great little table! There were a couple of problems with putting it together; however, it was fixed easily. I love the distressed look and the black metal framing. It matches the TV stand in our den. LOVE IT!
This side table is perfect for small spaces- one of the thinner side tables I could find that would work in our space- if we wanted two bed side tables, then they would have to be very thin.
I love building furniture from boxes, and was able to do it without my husband. The first side table took me 1.5 hours because the directions are crap, but the second took me under an hour.
Pro: love the finish. They look great! Thin. Drawer slides in/out well. Was able to build by myself.
Cons: The knob will NOT tighten on either of my tables. I’m going to either have to replace or get a different screw? I hate knobs that perpetually spin. And again, the directions.
Sturdy and great wood grain color. Only complaint were 2 small grooves in one of the pieces that weren’t properly cut out, in order to slide in the backing of a drawer. I was able to chisel it away but it took some work and is not ideal in production.
The instructions are just pictures and in very small booklet. Kinda a little bit of a puzzle but after process of elimination and trial and error, we got it together. The turnbuckle type fasteners are lightweight pot metal and one shattered easily. Some of the screw pilot holes didn't line up and we had to make our own starter holes, also the wood is soft and don't hold the screws well so we used wood glue to aid the assembly. Once together it's a cute little table, not sure its worth the money we paid for it, but still a nice looking table. Similar to building the blue and yellow Swedish company furniture but instructions were horrible. I wouldn't buy another one.
First of all I do like the table looks. If it holds up to the test of time... we will see. The instructions are adequate for assembling but I did have to use my brain to fill in the gaps. If you know you lack in mechanical aptitude, i would suggest getting help. All the pieces seemed to fit together, i had one screw of the many that was not predrilled, I just drilled our myself. The drawer does not close unless you give it downward pressure... this was a bit of a disappointment. And I did not like the fact I can see raw particle board on the back side of the table.
I purchased two tables and both were mismarked and difficult to assemble. The instructions aren't exactly clear so it's easy to make a mistake, even without the mismarking. My husband and I worked through the assembly together and still managed to nail the back onto the front on the first one we did, before realizing the drawer slides in the other way. Once they are assembled they do look nice and are very sturdy and functional. The drawer size is great for such a narrow end table.
This table still seemed smaller that I thought it would be but it’s really cute still. It’s really sturdy and looks great in my family den. I like the drawer and the shape of it and I’m happy with it overall.
