I bought this as a gift for my Mom to help keep her microwave clean. The silicone mat included in this set is a nice bonus, though not strictly necessary, but she seems to like it.

My only complaint is the quality of the collapsible piece. It is tricky to get it to stay in the fully extended position the first time, and I'm doubtful of it's long-term reliability if you routinely collapse/expand it.

This is the handiest thing I ever bought for the kitchen. I ordered it when I bought a new microwave hoping it would help keep it clean. Well, the microwave is pristine. The food tastes better using this cover instead of plastic wrap. And the flat piece just sits on the circular tray so I never have to pick up anything hot. I never knew how much I needed this!

My teenage boyss seemed to never cover anything when they reheated in the microwave. I was always cleaning out the interior of the microwave and the glass tray. Now that I have the cover, they are actually using it and I assure you it is much easier to put the cover in the dishwasher and rinse the mat than it is to have to clean out the whole inside of the microwave. One of the most practical purchases that I have made that helps keep the appliance clean.

I absolutely love this! The cover is durable and covers the dishes perfectly in the microwave. The heat pad is an awesome addition as it can be used to pick your food up out the microwave without burning your hands and doubles as a trivet. Would buy again!

Works perfectly keeping the microwave clean. Easy clean up. The mat is nice too. I never liked the sound of a mug or glass hitting the turntable so this makes me happy.
