If you’re planning on using a box spring with your mattress for this frame it will be incredibly high off the ground. If you’re only using a mattress (you will have to measure and cut plywood to rest over the metal bars. You’ll need 80 inches by 60 inches of plywood to cover frame for just a mattress. That is what we did. Works great!
Easy directions! I did it by myself which was fine but could have been easier to have someone to hold up other sides of bed frame while using the wrench, but it’s easily done as a one person assembly.
Very sturdy! The way all the corners and pieces interconnect are great at helping make the bed frame sturdy. The slates are metal which are nice.
In the picture, we have only a mattress sitting on plywood to fit the frame, if you add a box spring, it would be very high off the ground and difficult to get up to your bed.
We decided on this height for three reasons. 1-we needed a frame without needing a box spring, and
2-we wanted to be able to store crap under the bed as well as easily pull the cats out from underneath if needed.
3-if I’m hiding from a serial killer, I want to be able to fit under my bed to hide.
Skeptical about the price and how flimsy it appears to be in the photos. But I the price was right and I really needed the under storage. So I gave it a try. I LOVE IT! It’s amazing! Super easy to assemble. No noise AT ALL! And most importantly, most likely the sturdiest frame I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this to everyone. I bought a foam mattress for this frame so I had to cut out some plywood to fit within the frame. That’s why it’s in the photos. But if you’re using a regular mattress you won’t need to do that.
I put this together in 30 minutes. The bed frame is very stable and makes no noise. It’s also pretty lightweight so easy to move. Plenty of storage underneath was well.
I wasn't sure about this bed frame when I read that you don't need a box spring because we have an 8" memory foam mattress. I thought for sure that we'd feel the rail supports under the mattress (like in the Princess and the Pea situation) but no...it's very comfortable! It gives firm support, is very sturdy and I was able to put it together myself. I'm not that strong, so that's saying a lot. We love the room for storage underneath and plan on making our own boxes with casters for a custom fit. Very, very happy with this purchase!
We ordered this bed a week ago and it’s great however I noticed the out side bars were bowing out wards so I tightened it up and I barely put presser on the hex key to tighten it and the bolt striped. Lucky they provide spares so I had an extra bolt. But the legs are still not sturdy it worked for us until we got a new bed for our new house.
First of all, this was SUPER EASY to put together! I didnt even need the directions because you can just look at it and see how it should go. The only thing I dont like, and this could be because I didnt buy the mattress with the same brand name, is that the mattress I'm using is shorter than the frame. I love the height because I put "milk" crates under it to store my son's socks, undies, and football gear.
Assembly was easy. Sturdy unit. My memory foam mattress was held on top no problem.
I was very impressed with how solid this bed frame is once it's fully assembled.
The only thing that I wish it had was maybe just one more support rail towards the end, because if I sit on the edge of my mattress, I feel it sink in due to no support in that particular spot. But this is not that big of a deal to me, and besides this the frame is absolutely perfect.
