This set of knife was a perfect add on to our kitchen. It pretty much comes with all the size, and things you need to cut in any regular house kitchen.
This set of knife is pretty much like any other ones you can purchase at any store, but I bought it because it came with 15 pieces, and I have only used only about 5-7 pieces which comes with it, and the rest I haven’t even touched it. This is of course because I use the main knife to pretty much cut and chop everything I see and eat! Hahaha
Unless you need this to chop up some cow bones, this knife set is pretty much what you need. I would say thou to keep it sharp, you would need to get an extra accessory to sharpen it every so often. I’ve only bought it for less than a month, and so far the ones I’ve use to chop veggies, cut beef, or slice fruits has kept their sharp edges without loosing any grip.
The only most important tip I would give is, Plz be careful as this knife set is very sharp. I didn’t even need to use much force to slice some fresh tomatoes for my burger weekend, so please keep it away and safe from kids!
I bought these knives as a replacement to my other knives that were going dull and wow are they sharp I don’t think my first set was ever as sharp as this set. Now having the steak knives with this set makes it so easy to cut through a steak like butter.
The wood block was a disappointment! It looks like it had some damage on it, and the color doesn't match the advertised color at all. The appearance of the knives seem fine, although I have not used them yet. Will come back at a later date to add to my review.
UPDATE: The knives are good and sharp! Kudos to that! Disappointed that I was not contacted by the manufacturer about the wood block discoloration and light damage.
I purchased the "newer" version of this knife set. They were $40 as opposed to the $60 price for the rosewood set. I am disappointed that the newer version has a plastic handle as opposed to the full tang with triple riveted handle of the "old" set but hence the $25 price difference. The block is solid and appears like it should hold up nicely. I'll wait and see how the knifes do over the next few months. They are light and comfortable to use but do feel "cheap" and less sturdy than what I had envisioned with the full tang set. At least they are sharp enough to start with. However, the steak knives are serrated and I don't believe the included sharpener is the correct size for them. It should work fine on the rest of the non serrated blades.
My wife only has been using this for a day but she is very satisfied with these knives. The small one can cut vegetables and fruits. The big one you can use for cutting meat, and they are very sharp. Also, when We got it, the knife had a seal on the point, so no one can get hurt when unpackaging.
Nice quality knife set. The edges are sharp and there's a knife for every one of your needs. I've used it to filet a bass, cut open a whole chicken, cut up steak, and cut vegetables without issue and with ease. I didn't expect a knife in this price range to be so sturdy. Overall, very well made set of knives.
I jumped on these due to the deeply discounted price. They are worth the deeply discounted price, but had I paid the non-sale price, no way I'd be keeping them. These are quite average. They're light weight, the handles are quite cheep. They cut OK but some of the knives came sharper than others. The serrated knives are particularly disappointing. They don't even cut through cooked chicken breast cleanly.
This is a nice set of knives for the price. It is a sturdy set for a great price. We have been using them for a week and we have not had any problems. I'm glad my wife pulled the trigger and finally got us a nice set of knives.
