California Design Den 100% Cotton Sheet Set, Slate Gray King Sheets 4 Piece Set, Long-Staple Combed Pure Natural 400 Thread Count Cotton Bed Sheets, Soft & Silky Sateen Weave

Read reviews that mention:

Years and years ago, I had a sheet set that I didn't appreciate at the time. The kind of purchase you buy in your youth when money is no real issue but relegate to the back of the linen closet when you color preferences change. I rediscovered that set recently (no longer usable as we upgraded to a larger bed) and I realized...those sheets never pilled, never wore, never frayed. And here I am now with "soft" sheets, navigating and avoiding holes each night.

Figuring repurchasing quality sheets would be pricey, I've put it off for months. Meanwhile, I'd been researching what is was about those original sheets that I liked so much. The tags had been long worn...no clue brand, material, or weave.

What I'd determined was I liked their crispness, their weight, and their overall thickness. And what I needed to find would be long staple cotton.

I discovered these sheets in particular on Amazon and the price was far less than I was expecting to pay.

Some say itchy - I say crisp.
Some say wrinkly - I say...duh. 100% cotton
Some say lower thread count - I mention quality of thread used

I'll update should I discover deteriation with use, but so far...these are PRECISELY what I'd been looking for.

Update: nearly 1 year late, there has been no noticible wear. They are softer now, but still look great with no pilling for fraying. These were precisely the sheets I had hoped for.

Like some I've been searching for the right sheet set for a few weeks. I've read tons of reviews and will doubt which I should consider. My goal was to find sheets to fit my queen temperpedic mattress (which also has a pillow top). I'm tired of purchasing "deep" or "extra deep" pocketed sheets that I still end up wrestling with to get on the last corner of the bed. I've held my breath as I've tried to stretch it on, my poor fingers pinched in the process, thinking... please don't rip... They eventually always do rip at the seam. I've purchased from one end of the spectrum to the other. From a set at your local wholesaler club to an embarrassing amount on a Vera Wang set. In my searching if I found sheets which claimed to be deep enough to fit my mattress the material of the sheets where a blend and not 100% cotton. Getting 100% cotton is important to me and I've found them to be the most reliable. Some people complain about wrinkles with cotton. This can easily be solved by not overloading your dryer and not over drying your sheets. The company also includes a care card which discusses over drying. At the most some may want to iron their pillow cases. I throw a comforter over my sheets so the minimal wrinkling does not bother me. I haven't had the sheets long enough yet to let you know if pilling happens. In the past if I went for too high a thread count I would a end up seeing pilling. I know 400 doesn't seem high for some but these sheets were surprisingly soft and silky before and after washing. They are not stiff or loud. Elastic goes around the entire fitted sheet which includes a "foot" tag for easy identification of the corners. The pictures I've taken include before and after washing. I have plenty of room with the fitted sheet, no more pinched fingers! I would say they could easily fit a mattress thicker than mine around 15in. (18in might be stretching it). I am happy with my purchase and will be buying more. (The last picture is after washing, the wrinkles in the other pictures is before washing)
I bought these sheets this time last year and I loved them. They were silky and soft and they fit my king size bed perfectly. I reordered these sheets and they are not the same. The ones I just received are rough, they feel cheap. They also don't fit my bed (same exact bed) as well. I'm disappointed. In the picture, the old sheet is on the left and the new sheet is on the right.
There must be an army of fake reviewers behind these sheets because they are AWFUL. It feels like sleeping on sandpaper.
Of the hundreds of products I've ordered from Amazon, this is the first I've returned for any reason other than damage during shipping. It is a truly terrible product. I fail to understand how this is "Amazon's choice" and how it has almost 3,000 reviews and a 4.8 star rating. I bought these to replace some worn Walmart sheets in our guest bedroom -- I do not have high standards.

These sheets are extremely heavy, itchy, and coarse. When I first removed them from the package, I noticed how coarse they were, but assumed I just needed to wash them first. I washed them on the gentle cycle, then tumbled them on low heat with a dryer sheet. Put them on the bed, climbed in, to try them out, and it was absolute oppression! -- like lying under a painter's canvas! I removed the sheets, washed them a second time -- this time on normal -- then tumbled them on low in the dryer. Took them out, tried again -- same result.

If you enjoy soft, silky sheets (as these are advertised to be), look elsewhere!
They are sheets, what can you expect?! I am surprised at the very high "favorable" star review on here for this item.
They are 400 thread count, and you can tell, they are not soft. They wrinkle, and stay wrinkled, even right out of the dryer, using dryer sheets, still a wrinkled mess.
After about 4 washings, I noticed light discoloration on a pillowcase.
Would I buy again...NO!

UPDATE: to 1 star, HUGE light Mark's.
By far the worst item I have ever gotten on Amazon.
So smooth, much much better than traditional cotton sheets or microfiber. The seller had some difficulty in shipping due to flooding but tried their best to get it shipped on time. It was a month late, but they refunded my shipping and were very kind. The best sheets I've bought, and worth the wait. Very light and cool for the summer, and warm and smooth in the winter.
I love the look of these, but the quality is totally average. Also, the pattern is only on the outside which is totally fine, but something to keep in mind. They're not the softest, but they're adequate
Soft sheets with a somewhat sateen appearance. Good quality so far, standing up to washing in hot water and drying with no pilling or other issues. Colour (black) staying true so far. Pleased with them and would buy more in future.

Nothing replaces cotton. These are amazing. I'll be ordering more
great sheets
soft, cool, smooth, lovely!
Wash well, fit the bed well and stay put super comfy. A great product.
Very deep pockets. They fit perfect with bed topper.

Excellent product
I like the quality of the sheet material; however, I did not get the quantity (or type) of sheets I ordered.

What I ordered was as given in the product landing page "...California Design Den 400 Thread Count 100% Cotton Sheet Set, Blue Twin Sheets 4 Piece Set,..." . However, what I got was 1 pillow cover, 1 sheet (without elastic), and 1 sheet with elastic to hold it on a singles mattress - the packing slip verifies this as "...Twin Sheets 3 Piece Set for Kids and Adult..."

These can’t be 100% cotton? They are way too smooth and silky. I don’t like them.
