This is the perfect size to hold drinks. Also, I love that there’s charging ports on the back. You can even turn it around if you’re really into the charging which I like. It was easy Assemble, Very sturdy, The height fits perfectly next to our two reclining, lazy boys, Also like that, it has the Compartment so if you wanna put something in there like extra cables or anything, you don’t really want out in the open it holds things very well, The shelves are very nice too.
We downsized, our old quality piece needed a smaller replacement. This seemed to fill the bill. It comes well packed in what seems to be much too small a box to hold what will be the finished product. But, by golly, they managed to fit it in with some clever engineering. You'll see what I mean. If you're looking to buy a piece of furniture you'll hand down to your grandkids, this ain't it. But if you want something functional, easy to assemble (took about 20 minutes - easy to follow instructions - do pay attention, and follow the steps in order - you're forewarned), and decent looking, then this is the ticket. Oh, and the storage is just incredibly handy. We didn't have that before, so that helps make up for the smaller dimensions of this replacement table.
Overall, design, looks, quality, functionality = all above average. Great value, bang for the buck. I recommend (but do take my caveat about this not being an heirloom piece seriously - you're buying this for functionality 1st).
I wanted a small table to put my son's computer on (to get it off the floor and away from all the cat hair it was sucking into its fan). The dimensions of this table were perfect. It seems very sturdy, though it does have the tiniest wobble. If I adjusted the little feet on the bottom, I could probably fix that.
It was pretty easy for me to put together by myself. I gave it four stars instead of five for the reason that to get the main screws into the body of the table, I had to use my drill with the screwdriver bit. I tried using the tools that came with it, but I just couldn't get those things in there. So if you have a drill/screwdriver, I highly recommend just going with that. Other than that, all the holes were drilled perfectly. I think it looks really nice, and if I didn't know it was not solid wood, I wouldn't be able to tell.
I did accidentally put one piece on backwards, but decided I like it better that way. The two ends of the table have kind of decorative wrought-iron looking metal on them, so I put those pieces on with the metal facing outward (so it can be seen). For some reason, the instructions show to face the metal piece of the backside inward, I'm guessing so it can be seen when you open the storage compartment. But since we'll have a computer on it, we won't use the storage much, so I like it better with both decorative pieces facing outward. If you buy the table, that's step 4 in the instructions.
Speaking of the instructions, even though it was all done by drawings, it was easy for me to follow (except getting that one piece backwards).
We haven't tried the electrical outlets yet, but I'm assuming they work. I do like that it has two plugs and two USB ports.
We recently bought new furniture. My husband has a plastic side table for his items, like cell phones, chargers, coffee cup and the like. But the table was too cheap looking. I found this and it looked good and the dimensions fit our needs. My husband found it easy to build and it looks really good. It's sturdy enough to put all his things on. The table can be plugged into an outlet to create power on the table to add more electrical power. It's a nice table and small enough to fit the small space needed.
I searched for a compact side table and found this one... a great find! It is exactly as pictured; with great instructions that made the assembly easy; particularly, since I am familiar with the task. For those not used to it, do not rush it. If screws and holes do not seem to match... they are probably okay. I had two of these situations since I had not placed the screws straight enough... With a little straightening of the screws and a little push to align the pieces together, it worked perfectly. The last part of the job was to put the lid on; however, since the screws inside were not visible, I inserted a small flashlight which made the task easy to complete. I have assembled huge and small cabinets or furniture pieces. This one, though small, has plenty of screws where needed which made it sturdy and leveled. I immediately put it to work and it is a perfect "table" when closed or even half-opened, plus a great office organizer right by my computer. All for a reasonable price!
UPDATE-10/28/24 - The electric kit that I had mounted following the instructions had not yet been tested. I just did and it has allowed me to divert some of the cables to this new unit. I charged two cellphones at the same time: I connected one USB cable to a new iPhone adapter and the adapter to one of the two electric outlets part of the kit... The other end of the USB cable, to the iPhone... inserting the adapter into one of the two electric power outlets. I charged the second iPhone with just one USB cable (the USB connected to the table's USB port with the other end to the iPhone). As a bonus, all types of screws/bolts, etc. had an extra unit (unheard of).
This side table can become an accessory table next to the working desk or, in my case, on one side of the recliner where I now have: a table top; two electric outlets; two USB outlets; a "drawer" with desk accessories like a small stapler, pencils, pens, small calculator, address book, etc. plus two shelves at the bottom. I have placed an open plastic bin with pending folders/material for easy reach in one shelf.
I believe that the USB inserted in the iPhone "adapter" charged a few minutes faster because the adapter is a new, fast model.
