After months of searching, deliberating, measuring, and going through the entire Internet, I am so glad I finally got this couch. It was one of the first ones I saw and I wish I had ceased my search there. The quality is top-notch, it is top grain leather; comfy, spacious, well built, and looks perfect. It is a premium product at a very reasonable price. I was hesitant it might be cold for the colder months but that’s not the case. The color is just as advertised and very versatile. I am a fan of Poly & Bark for life.
I was back and forth between this sofa and another brand at another retailer that used spring-loaded sofa cushions. They both have solid wood frames and leather everywhere (both VERY important for longevity) and was leaning a bit towards the spring-loaded sofa cushions based on some of the reviews for this sofa indicating the cushions had gone flat fairly quickly.
What changed my mind to this sofa was recognizing that I can have the cushions re-stuffed with higher quality foam relatively inexpensively if/when they break down vs having springs eventually poke through the leather of a cushion. The fact the chase/sofa went on sale for under $2k for the first time in my watching it for over two years created the 'right now' buying decision.
Assembly was simply a matter of screwing the legs in (and make sure to differentiate the corner legs from the center legs - they are different lengths) and attaching the two pieces together with the pre-attached clasps. The leather looks fantastic and I fully expect this to last as long as our current leather sofa, which we've had for about 25 years. Another thing I like about this sofa that led to the demise of our current leather sofa is it had the back cushions stitched to the sofa, so there was no back to the cushion. As the stitching eventually (with pets and kids) tore away, the cushions according to three different furniture repair people in the area couldn't be reattached easily or affordably. This sofa having fully removable back and seat cushions is a benefit. The final selling point about this style was that is sits about five inches off the ground, allowing our little robot vacuum to clean underneath it.
I've included one pic showing the zippered 'container' on the bottom of one sofa where the legs are stored for transport, which I thought was pretty creative. I also tried to grab an image of the wood exposed where the legs screw in, but it appears to be to washed out for detail; it should show the all-wood (rather than 'manufactured wood') construction providing better strength and resilience.
***Four month update and pics - the sofa is doing fantastic. It's used by our dogs much more than us: it's a springboard, a wrestling mat, a lounging appliance and a sleeper. To be fair, we have had a cover on the sofa since we purchased it (off today for a washing), but it still looks new. A few feathers are starting to escape, which isn't a surprise. Pics attached showing all cushions off, cushion backs, and fully intact. Also included a pic of the adjustable leg/footer thingy. Very pleased!
Beautiful soft and supple leather! Packaged extremely well, very easy to assemble, pretty much the perfect apartment sofa.
-Sofa is boxed perfectly. There is a small “hatch” on the bottom where the instructions and feet are stashed.
-2 bolsters are included, they’re a little weak/soft. They compress easily, seem to be more for looks than function.
-Has around 6 inches of ground clearance, allows you to easily sweep/vacuum under. Also is very light, can easily be moved to clean behind.
-Perfect size to sit 2 with space to sprawl or 3 in a normal sitting position. Great depth, with cushions removed it’s easily big enough for someone under 6’ to sleep on. Comfortable, leather is nice quality, wipes down easily.
I’m working on decorating a spare bedroom and needed this color. I was afraid it was going to be too dark, but it’s absolutely perfect. Super simple to put together. It’s extremely sturdy and good quality .
Absolutely love this sectional from Poly & Bark! Definitely worth the money.
I had been shopping for a section that'll fit my condo's awkward front entryway the last 6 months. I had originally ordered a couch from Ashley's Homestore which was delayed 3 months due to the global supply constraints. Then had to refuse the delivery after not fitting my entryway and start from scratch.
I finally came across this Poly & Bark sectional after an endless amount of searching. I was originally hesitant to spend $2k+ on such a large piece of furniture sight unseen, but didn't feel like waiting any longer.
I was super happy that this sectional was delivered within 1.5 weeks. I had to separate the chaise & the rest of the couch from the original box in order to fit through my entryway. Each section of the couch is light enough to move around easily, but don't let that fool you; it seems to be made of high-quality leather, cushioning, and has a sturdy frame. The height of the back support is decent and shouldn't be an issue since I'm 5'5". I'm also 140 lbs. so the seat cushions seems to hold my weight fairly well. The cushions seem stiff enough where it won't sag easily, but we'll see how long that'll last with a few years of wear & tear.
Overall, super impressed with the quality & price of this couch. It fits my needs perfectly!
I checked other websites for this sofa and Amazon came lower, plus the fact that you can return it free. It was delivered at our door. We were there to receive it. It is a firm sofa, which I prefer. Comfortable and mid-century modern look. Just had to screw the legs in. It came with two pillow rolls as expected. I believe that this will last a very long time. We purchased the navy blue for our den. It came in a timely manor, about a week or so. This room is not finished, but the sofa was a great choice!
