This is a sturdy-for-the-price grater. It goes fast. The slices are thin. The one for cheese shredding works great, but be sure to pull the cheese out of the grater as you go. The fine shredder worked perfectly on a bar of soap. The last part of whatever is grated doesn't get grated, but that is not much of a piece. My grandkids loved helping me! It holds to the counter well and the crank is sturdy. Easy cleanup on the blades and feeder in the dishwasher. I recommend it. If you need 1/8" or thicker slices you will still need a mandoline slicer or a knife, but thin slices are a breeze.

I bought this based on other 5 star reviews and I just can't give it 5....when grating anything ( I've tried several different things already) food tends to get trapped under the roller, not a lot of food, but it definitely gets trapped. It is extremely easy to use and easy to clean and stays in place while in use. I just can't give it 5 stars

I've been hand grating cheese the old way. This kitchen tool is essential and such a time saver. It is very easy to use and clean. It perfectly grates cheese in seconds. I also tried the slicing insert and found that effective as well. I use this all the time now. Oh the red color is very pretty.

I love this Geedel rotary cheese vegetable grater!!!!
Once I figured out how to assemble it and placed it on a clean flat countertop. Then I figured out how to turn the knob to secure it to the counter top, lol, it worked perfectly. What I liked best is the tube that the cones fit in keeps the vegetables from flying all over the countertop. And, I was able with the shape of the tube and the vegetable pusher to shred, or slice all of the vegetable. No big unsliced or ungrated piece left over. The pusher worked perfectly. I loved the simplicity!!! Wished I would have purchased this sooner. I have a very expensive vegetable grater with 6 solid stainless steel cones. It also does not suction to the countertop very securely!!!
You also can not cut or slice or grate all of your vegetable. Always a pretty big chunk left. And no tube to keep the vegetables from making a mess all over the counter. There is also too big of a space between the stainless steel cone and the stand. So a big ungrated, or sliced or diced piece of vegetable left over. And no pusher. So I am always worried I am going to grate or slice a piece of my fingers trying to slice, grate or dice my vegetables.
My new Geedel works perfectly!!!

When you order something, even here on Amazon, you wonder if it will live up to your expectations and will it do what you want it to do! This little gadget has more than lived up to what I wanted and more! I wasn’t sure if it would work as well as the reviews said it would but I’m happy to say that it does. It’s easy to put together, it holds on to the counter top very well, and it comes apart easily when you want it to! I guess my favorite part is that it does what I need it to do when I don’t want to pull out my big food processor!
