First impressions are very high for this blender/food processor combo. I used it for the first time this AM to make my green smoothie. I used the 72oz pitcher as I make my smoothies on the large side. I had several frozen fruits and veggies in the mix. It worked perfectly and in about half the time of my older blender. Clean-up was a breeze. The base secured itself to the counter with its suction cups and held securely during operation. Following the included instructions, It was easy to dislodge for storage.
The only downside I found was the fact that its powerful motor is a bit noisy. However, with the quicker time and complete blending of my smoothie, I consider that a good trade-off.
Since this machine can replace two kitchen appliances (blender and food processor), it is a good option when it is time to replace your current blender.
It is a complete blender. We bought it 3 weeks ago and it is pricy compare to other blenders but you cannot compare the quality. Ninja blender is power and so far, we love it.
Pros: very easy to use, reliable, power, accessories, etc.
Cons: very noise but it’s because the power lol
Recommended purchase and I hope it’s a one time spend.
After using Ninja products for many years and liking the quality, the unit I had purchased and used for smoothies, found the blade started to chip away and probably drank the tiny pieces. Could not find a replacement blade that would not do the same thing and began to search for newer units among other brands as well for a long period of time. Also moved into a smaller space and larger units were too big. According to ratings, it appears that the quality of Ninja and other brands for smoothies have greatly diminished for there were far too many low ratings to want to take a chance on them. Someone recommended this unit having used it for a family for a long period of time and while bigger than what I was looking for, seems to have the quality I was used to fitting perfectly in the smaller kitchen I downsized to. It also has the larger and smaller containers for other uses but smoothies are my main use and comes with 2 containers. While loud, so were the other units but worked good. The blade on this one appears stronger and hope it lasts. Don't know why the Ninja smoothie unit blades aren't made of stainless steel.
Excellent blender. Everything you wanted your first blender to improve, this one has. The power is awesome. The pitcher has a pouring spout and the base has suction cups that keep it secured and I really mean secured. Easy to use and excellent accessories.
I use the blender cups every day for smoothies. They're fantastic. The blender is good enough - fast and efficient, definitely better than your cheap Walmart blender - but the processor is a waste of money. It processes unevenly, splatters chunks against the side so you have to take off the lid and scrape down the sides continuously, and no shredding/slicing capability. If I try anything tough (like dates for homemade protein bars) it jams up and sounds like it's about to die.
This is an extremely powerful blender. Was making smoothies in my old blender and it was an effort, to say the least. Now, just add the ingredients, blend away, and smoothie is perfect. No chunks. Liquifies anything I have put in. Only be careful to not over blend, it ends up whipping it a little and the smoothie had a fluffy consistency. If you are switching from an underpowered blender, this will feel like the difference between a bicycle and motorcycle.
My mom needed something more robust as part of her post cancer treatment liquid diet. This worked great for her. We can tell it would be great for all other mixer uses as well.
If on sale for the holidays, we might buy one for ourselves to replace our 30 year old kitchen mixer. It’s certinaly much nicer than what we have.
