This is an excellent product. I and my husband are very happy with it. We got it and put it together immediately. It was very well packaged and the styrofoam was good quality. Might not seem important but we have had little bits all over our rugs after assembling other products. The shelves are smooth and good quality, I was very concerned because they are white. Not one scratch or dent on any of the pieces. It did take 2 of us (our choice) to build it, but I could see only one person being able to do it without it taking to long. The dimensions were accurate and the metal was good quality. What I really liked about assembling this shelving unit is the manufacturer had you put the bottom shelves and sides together first then you build the upper. It was so much easier than others we have assembled like this unit. Overall, I would give this an A++.

The assembly instructions said it works better with two people. No. I am ONE. I assembled the first half laying it on the floor and gently lifting it up to start the screws at the back - floor level. Then I lifted it upright to finish the screws. Did the same thing with the top half. Laid it all on the floor to connect the two halves. Upright again to attach the cross pieces at the back.

I do find fault with the description. It did NOT say anywhere the height, or distance, between shelves. I had to go in and ask a question to find the answers others had posted. So, I'll tell you now... it is 13 inches between each shelf.

One thing I love about the open back of this shelf is that my thermostat is on that wall, and I'm able to see it and use it rather than having to place a closed back shelf unit somewhere else.

These shelves are beautiful and sturdy! If you're putting it together alone, here's a quick tip: use the styrofoam that came in the package to hold the shelves for you as shown in the picture. Life saver!

Putting them together alone was a little tricky, but they do look really nice. I just wish they were a bit bigger. They have feet that you screw in and they do stick out just a tiny little bit. I really love that I can adjust the feet height a little by unscrewing/screwing them in more if need be and it makes them easier to move around on hardwood floors if you have to move them. I have a ton of books on them and they are holding strong. They can be a little bit wobbly towards the top, but that is to be expected when they don't have fully solid sides like a traditional wood bookshelf. Like I said, I do wish they were bigger in both height and width, but they do look really nice.

The size of this was exactly what I was looking for. Instructions are easy to follow and it wasn’t too heavy for me to put together by myself. Definitely recommend if you want something on the smaller side with enough shelf space to fit a small size vase of flowers.
