The boxes this bed was delivered in are heavy. No joke, it takes 2 people to move them easily. But once out of the box surprisingly easy to assemble and set up! The beds move up and down quietly and smooth. The adjustments in setting are intuitive and straightforward. So far the quality is high end. I would recommend and say best bang for the buck!
I’ve had this for a couple of weeks now. I really like it! I bought it for reading and watching TV and it works great! I was surprised about the massage features though. At the time I purchased, I wondered how it could massage through the mattress? Well, the motors have a few settings low, medium, and high for both the head and foot motors. I’ve only really used low and medium and it vibrates the whole bed pretty well. It’s not like a kneeding massage, but more like a vibe plate. A vibe plate is supposed to be good for you so I’m happy with it.
It comes pretty much all assembled. It’s only the legs that need to be screwed in. It’s very heavy though which surprised me, over 100 lbs. FedEx dropped it in my driveway and I needed another person to help me carry it in the house. The only other bad thing was that the bags of desiccant that they put in it broke. So that made a mess and most of my time installing it was vacuuming out the desiccant. They really need to fix that, but otherwise it has worked perfectly out of the box and it feels like good quality construction.
I have been eyeing this base for YEARS and Prime Day was the day! My memory foam mattress is about 18 inches thick and still fits well. Assembly was very straightforward and I was able to do it alone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SETTING UP ALONE. The remote is wireless for this sturdy base and it's FAIRY quiet with all functions, except, of course, the massage features. It's not a high end massaging chair, please don't expect it. But I can feel all vibration settings: low, medium and high. If you're dealing with edema or just tired legs in general, this is a wonderful option. Raised legs with vibration will definitely aid the circulation. The ZG (zero gravity) setting knocks me right out and I wake with no stiffness or pain. A bit addicting, if I'm being honest. Steep price, but very well worth it.
This is a really nice sturdy and well thought out bed. Works great and easy to use. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it has only one double usb port only on one side which is not my side. At least it has them. The second is it has only one size legs. I have leg problems and can't lift them high enough to easily get into bed so I have to use my cane to lift the first one in. It's a bummer being short and old...der. Love the little night light under the bed and the many adjustable positions that are available plus you can set your own. Fast deliver but this bed is very heavy so 2 people are a must getting it up stairs. Would buy it or another one in a heart beat.
I purchased the split king set and am very happy I went with this product. The build quality appears to be great, everything worked out of the box and they clearly put some thought into all of the features. In was really impressed that they thought to put the remote link button on the power cord instead of just on the controller.
Setup consisted of cutting the tape on the box, lifting it out, and then opening the accessory boxes for the legs, power supply and remote. The footer bar was secured to the underside with twist ties (thank you for not using zips!). Assembly was as easy as screwing the legs in, attaching the power supply, flipping it over, inserting the footer bar and plugging it in. Just about anyone could do it with some help in the flip.
The base seems extremely sturdy, if you're a bigger person I wouldn't worry in the slightest about getting these. The massage was about on par with others we've had and has 3 intensity options with independent head and foot controls. The preprogrammed adjustments are great, I was surprised at how high the head could go, it's about 5 degrees from being able to go straight up. The lighting and little flashlight on the remote are a really nice touch.
Assuming the electronics hold up I'll consider this to be one of the best values I've gotten in awhile. I'm always a bit skeptical of really glowing reviews, so I was a little nervous about getting difficult to return items online, but these live up to the hype. Oh and my robot vacuum can easily get under the bed!
We wanted a Sleep Number bed and got a split king. Love it, BTW. We wanted the matching adjustable bases, but yikes, they are pricey and according to Sleep Number, the bases never go on sale. That seems to have been true - we've had the bed almost 6 months now, and have seen sales on everything but the bases. So to Amazon, we went! We chose this one as it seemed to have all the bells and whistles we wanted and good reviews. Add my 5 star review to it!
Everything it has in the item title/description, it does! Works perfectly with our Sleep Number bed! They're quiet, seem to have plenty of power to move us around on the bed, everything works. They may use different shippers at times, but ours came via FedEx in two boxes, one for each half. Only a couple days to get here. Setup was very easy - each half is folded in half and most of the setup was unfolding each half, putting the legs on, putting the bases in place, hook up the cords, That was pretty much it!
Tip - label the remotes so you know which belongs to which base lol. I don't recall now if the bases can be synced to go up and down together or if it's just manual using both remotes - but we like different positioning so haven't even looked into it.
The only advantage I can think of to using the Sleep Number bases is being able to control them along with the mattresses with your phone in the app instead of having separate remotes. But definitely worth the savings to go this route!
Last, but not least - right now, the split King base set is 15% off! If you need these bases, I'd go for it!
