I bought this to keep my ever growing collection of manicure supplies sorted and stored, it had grown beyond a plastic tote or two. So I bought this, the colors went great with my living room (where I usually do my nails). And when I put it all together, I realized it didn't fit my whole collection. So I ordered another, as well as one with 3x3 deeper drawers. They all fit great in my living room and tie together nicely. Of note, the "finish" on these is a black top with "clean/new" finish on the sturdy fabric drawers (some of my nail supplies are HEAVY and this works well). The 3x3 has the same patterns, but they're "aged" to look antiquey, and the top is a brown woodgrain pattern. I'm not mad at it, these are great pieces. A friend commented on them and said she has the same sort of dresser in her closet and it fits so much stuff she's considering getting rid of her wood dresser and getting more of these!

As for assembly ease... my husband put them together for me, so I'm not sure, but it took him like less than 5 minutes, so it couldn't have been too difficult.
