Put these on my couches to deter my kitty from scratching. This worked like a charm. I had a fairly large scratching post by the couches and for some reason she did not use the post and would use the couches to scratch on. These panels were very self explanatory. I only placed them on the corners of my couches as that was the only places she would scratch. While these were in place I had also ordered a larger more sturdy scratching post. I ordered 'SmartCat Ultimate Scratching Post – Gray, Large 32 Inch Tower - Sisal Fiber, Simple Design - For All Cats' (highly recommended). With the new post and the tape together its been great in getting them to scratch the post and not the couches. I have not removed them yet, but they are very sticky. Your clothes and your other animals fur will stick to them when passing by.

I have had cats for years and have tried everything to stop them scratching. We bought 2 very expensive chairs upholstered in a grey velvet. Not super thick velvet but kind of a lighter velvet. I have had the cat scratch tape for about a month. I was worried applying to velvet bc the directions warn about not putting on velvet. But it has worked great and one of the pieces fell off bc I think my cats pulled it and it didn’t do any damage to the chair. I figured the cats would do more damage than the tape. I haven’t seen them try to scratch the chairs in the last 2 weeks so I’m close to taking it off. That will be the real test. It is a great idea and easy to use.

We bought this to stop one of our cats from scratching up the fabric on the back of the couch, and I have to say, it works. After putting this on, our cat hated the feeling of it, and our couch is safe. Trying to get the backings off is a little tricky because it’s so sticky, but once you’ve got it off it’s easy to apply. Just be careful, because it is very sticky (on everything). And depending where you use it, you may find yourself and your clothes sticking to it if you brush up against it

Great on un damaged furniture, doesn’t work as well on furniture that’s already scratched. They also collect lint/hair (to be expected) and can peel off on you if you bump into them.

I got a new couch that I didn’t want my cat tearing up and these have worked pretty well to deter her. Even after the outward facing side dried out they still prevented her from scratching.

I put them on another piece that was already kind of scratched and they didn’t work as well, they peeled up easily at the edges and then my cat tried to rip them off with her teeth which may be a good case for getting the kind that you pin on.

My cats have been shredding my new living room chairs with their nails. I tried putting aluminum foil over the areas, which worked, however I didn't buy new furniture to have it covered in foil! Found this product and it is amazing! It is easy to apply, the cats have stayed clear as they cannot get a grip and it's sticky and it is not really visible on the chairs. I'm really happy with this purchase.

These worked immediately to determine the kittens from shredding my couch. I covered the entire back and sides of my couch along with some other surface areas and I still have sheets left. There are a variety of sheets sizes. Very easy to apply. I can't speak to how easily they come off, I have not dare go there yet.

Wanted to protect our new couch and these seem to work! Our cat went to his favorite spot to scratch and was very surprised by the sticky tape. He has not tried to scratch in that spot since. It’s easy to take off and does not leave any type of residue. Very happy we found these because the sprays were not working for us. Definitely recommend.

This was easy to cut to the size I needed and equally easy to apply. I am taking care of my daughter’s two cats while she is away at university, and one of them is a scratcher. I was worried that it would be to visible once applied, but I don’t notice it much at all. The best part is that it REALLY works!

This tape does the trick! I’ve had the tape on my couch now for a month since it arrived, and my cat has not ONCE tried scratching the couch. My cat used to scratch all 4 corners of the couch multiple times a day. Since then, not one touch. He now scratches his scratch posts. The only reason why I gave this 4 stars is because it’s NOT clear tape. I thought it was clear when purchasing I don’t know why. But it’s whatever now. It’s durable and very sticky!

Instructions would have been appreciated. I stripped all the paper backing off not realizing that I could have done one side, attached it and then taken off the remainder. So, I have a piece that folded over onto itself. Anyway, it is clear so not too obvious and is STICKY! Now, we will see how it works at protecting the furniture and carpet.

Our cat had been climbing in our bed and waking us every night for months. We tried everything to keep her off our bed and away from our door. We had enough when she woke us every hour one night. We couldn't just close the bedroom door because she would spend the night scratching at the door, keeping us up anyway. We thought we'd give this a try on our bedroom door. She touched it once with her paw and hasn't touched it again. We've had uninterrupted sleep every night since. I highly recommend this for all sleep deprived cat parents.

I was pleasantly surprised how well this has worked so far. Its been a few weeks and they cats have not gone near it after initial contact. It was so easy to install and great adhesion. I am interested on how easy it will be to take off at some point. They had a great suggestion in the back about using a hair dryer to heat it up before removing. Very Happy!!
