Kitchen sink use. It fit perfectly, but I did measure first and compared with description. Now that I have it, I must say that I like it a lot better than the plastic ones with silicone flange that I did have. This one will not deteriorate since it is stainless steel. It is easy to empty of all that it catches and it does catch even the smallest particles. I wish there was one like it for smaller drains to catch hair and lint.
When we moved into our new house, I was not happy with the condition of the kitchen sinks. They looked old, and the drain strainer looked yucky and didn't work well. I had purchased these before for our old house, and loved them. So I quickly ordered them again for our new house. Seriously, I thought we would have to replace our kitchen sinks, but when I put these in, it gave our old sinks a fresh, new look. I love them! They fit perfectly, and are so easy to keep sparkly clean. I highly recommend these sink strainers.
This strainer is excellent. It's a perfect fit putting over the drain. The filter collects every bit of partical. I was having clogged drains and I have had no issues since using this sink strainer. I bought one for my Mom and she loves it for all the same reasons. Good quality.
I’ve bought these for my kitchen, my daughter’s kitchen, and for an AirBNB I stayed in. When a plumber came to replace my disposal, I told him I only ever used it to grind up food deposited from the dishwasher. He was about to suggest a strainer for the drain when I showed him that I use these. He immediately smiled and told me I was already using the best kind! Other reviews talk about the good design and you can read those. I’ll say that it feels weird when I am at a kitchen sink that doesn’t use these.
I’ve had these for about a year and a half and they are great, literally look so well, they are also great quality!
Easy to clean, easy to use, I don’t need to keep buying more, it will last you for more than 3+ years for sure
They catch about everything that would otherwise go down the drain. They are easily lifted out for cleaning and dropped right back in place. They are stainless steel and so should last for a very LONG time! They look nice and should fit almost any standard stainless steel sink since the basket is only about an inch deep.
Get a set... very inexpensive too!
This is a secondary purchase for us! We’ve been using these sink strainers for years and we love them. They hold up very well and we have rarely had to replace them.
Quality is great- will probably never have to replace them, but if I do I will replace with same exact product

Because I no longer live in the land of lifted trucks, country music, guns, and garbage disposals, these little sink strainers have become essential!
No matter how careful you are, if you’re using the original sink strainers that came with the house, food particles (especially onions!) will end up going down the drain. Then they collect at the bottom of the draining system, become self aware, and amass into a terrifying food monster. And this food monster’s only goal in life is to back up your drains, wreak havoc, and ruin your life.
And what’s worse, if your boiler’s condensate pipe drains into your sink’s draining system, it will block that up too, and your boiler will end up with an error. Goodbye heat and hot water. Food monster 1; you 0.
But instead of that, you could buy these sweet babies. They fit perfectly into the standard UK drain. Sure, sometimes they get packed up with food and slow down draining, but you should probably empty it out before that ever happens. Do you actually want a food monster to form on top of your sink? That’s a dangerous game. What’s wrong with you? Have you learned nothing?
But this item does a great job of keeping that pesky food away from the drains! Buy now! We will win this war!
One of those small things that I think is important and makes my life easy. Nothing but water goes down my kitchen drain anymore. And they are easy to clean!
Fits perfectly, catches all the food particles, and lets water through. When it's dried a bit I just shake it out into my compost bin.
Looks clean and shiny and works perfectly.
