Straight out of the box this knife is scary-sharp. I don't want a knife to be any sharper than it needs to be to slice through a tomato skin, so I didn't need to sharpen it for two months. It retains its edge pretty well! The included sharpener works great.

These knives are my go to kitchen knives. They are sharp and easy to clean. I have bought so many knife sets that cone with a bock of wood to store them in and non were as sharp as these!!! I'll let you all know how they hold up after a year or so.

These are by far the sharpest knives I’ve ever used, I received them for Father’s Day and when I say handle with care, I mean it, they slide right through everything and if you don’t pay attention an accident can happen, trust me but all in all a great set, my recommendation!

The knives were nicely presented in a flat box and securely set in individual "cut outs". The knives were sharp from the box. Using the chef's knife easily made fast work of cutting onions, peppers, etc. The handles on the knives are without indentations for finger grips, but handling the knives are ergonomically perfect. Buy and use without reservations.
