This is a lovely gel mat. I love the texture, it's easy to clean and very comfortable. I've had several others that were significantly more expensive and not nearly as nice. I'm not the only one in the house who loves the mat. When I received it, I plopped it down on the floor in front of my kitchen sink and went out to the garage to dispose of the box. When I returned my 14 year old cat had already claimed it for himself. He has only left it to use his cat box or eat. My husband, on the other hand, is a dedicated gel mat hater and even he likes it. I think I may have to purchase another one for the cat.... I have plantar fasciitis and poor hamstring mobility, thus I recently switched to working most of the day at a standing desk in my home office. We have a mat downstairs in front of our kitchen sink, purchased from Target, that's all crumbly, with chunks missing out of it, and I didn't want another experience like that. I bought a Sky Mat based on the strength of its reviews and its price point. I bought it in September of 2016 and have spent hours per day on it ever since, usually wearing sneakers. I'm hard on the mat. Often, I'll listen to music while I work and pound on the mat with my feet to the beat. Nine months after purchase, I noticed that one spot in the top layer of the mat, about the size of a silver dollar, had come off. A couple of days later, additional flakes had come away as the spot slowly enlarged. I contacted Sky Mats through Amazon and received a reply the next day. No questions asked, they volunteered to send me a replacement and promised a 10-14 day delivery. It arrived in 7 days. I remain very happy with the quality of the product and especially happy with the quality of service from the company. I would buy another mat from them for any future needs in a heartbeat. This anti fatigue mat is like standing on a cloud wearing cloud shoes, it is amazing! I actually feel energized when using it with my standing desk. I highly recommend this anti fatigue mat to anyone who stands or has legs! Standing on this mat right now! I purchased this for in front of my standing (VariDesk). My feet still can get tired, but it is MUCH more comfortable than without the mat. It is thick and resilient.Update: less than a year later, the top surface is coming off, revealing the foam under it.Another update... I attempted to contact the manufacturer for the "lifetime warranty" for the issue I have. No response one week later.I am not a heavy person and I don't wear heels. This is a product defective. I see others with the same issue. Buyer BEWARE! In their email to ask me to review this, they mentioned planting a cherry tree in my honor. Is that truthful or is that a marketing gimmick? I'm not sure, but I wish they would clarify. If they did plant a tree, that's cool. If they are just saying that to be funny, that's annoying.Anyway, the standing mat isn't as nice as one I have that cost 2-3x as much, but it's fine for the price, since I'll only need it for a few months. I find the texture to be too noticeable on bare feet. And wearing socks while standing for a good while makes the socks feel sweaty. The mat is also really firm, which feels lower quality. There's hardly any flex to it. I'm only using this for a few months though, so I can live with the downsides for the price. I haven't had to clean it yet, but it seems like it would wipe down easily.I really dislike how much they try to nag you for reviews. The full-page insert that comes with the product, intending to guilt you into reviewing, is trying too hard. This product is not amazing. It is not awful. It'll work, but I'm not going to rave about it. If I were going to use a standing mat for years on end, I would not buy or use one. I'd stick with my more expensive one from another maker. For a few months, while I'm in a pinch, this'll be fine. If you use a standing desk and stand for hours a day, then this will be okay, but not amazing.Plus, how am I supposed to leave an objective review for things like durability, ease of cleaning, and material quality when I've only owned it for a few days? Sure, it didn't ship with defects from manufacturing, but I have no idea how this will stand up to wear over a few months...One star off for the quality feeling iffy. One star off for review nag. These are the best fatigue mats my wife and I have found. I like mine at work so much that I recently bought four more to replace the gel mats we had in our kitchen. My wife likes that the edges on the Sky mats are tapered and seem like the won't roll up over time, which happened to our old mats. The Sky mats are also thicker and seem to cushion our feet more when standing on them than the old gel mats. It came in a huge box, so it's not rolled or folded. I can't notice any smell, which is awesome. Better still, I've been able to do the sit-stand thing now without any signs of lower back pain that I was experiencing before I got this. These mats are perfect! I have one in front of the sink and one at my work area in the kitchen.I wish my whole floor was covered with this stuff. Best thing yet, the cat hasn't clawed em to pieces. She pretty much leaves em alone. Thanks
