I would have given this five stars but for a significant design flaw: Removing a filled trash bag takes three hands, two to pull out the bag while the other holds up the inner lid.In more detail: The outer lid is the one that goes up and down when you step on the pedal. You can manually open that lid and it will stay in an upright (opened) position, as it should, when you're changing a bag. However, there is a second, inner lid, which holds the bag in place. When you're changing a bag, you want THAT lid to stay in an upright (opened) position, as well... but it DOESN"T! You need a third hand (or an elbow) to prop that lid open, while you remove the filled bag. We are enjoying the capacity of this stainless steel trash can. We use it for our recycle items. I am so tired to using paper bags to place our recycle items in and quickly having to grab another paper bag once that bag is full after one day of recycling. This can allows us to fill our recycling needs for the entire week. The bag is easily placed and secured in the can and the ease of removing the bag is the same. The stainless steel can is light and easy to move to different locations at a moments notice. I would recommend this can to my friends. It's a 20 gallon trash can.. it's about twice as big as a typical trash can that I've seen people having (I feel like people usually have a 10-13 gallon trash can).Since it is bigger, it takes longer for it to fill up, so you don't have to take out the trash as often. I got the trash can that you have to use your foot to make it open and I'm satisfied with my purchase.I saved $20-30 for not getting the electric one that opens by a motion sensor.. I was scared that I'd have problems with the battery, or finding an outlet, or working the motion sensor (sometimes they work weird and frustrate me and I'm only 27 years old)The box said something about it being the world's largest indoor trash can and it is honestly a really great trash can, just a little pricey at about $77.42 but it works so great I don't think you'll find a better deal elsewhere, it's really well made and easy to change the bag.If you buy Glad 20-gallon scented trash bags, it smells really good when you open the trash can. If you buy the appropriate bag for the trash can it's really easy to put bags in/take out. I don't think it could be any easier to change the bag, but I have seen worse. (maybe because they have the wrong bag size for their trash can) Absolutely furious. I just received this trash can today and it is completely dented in. Spent way to much money on this for it to be delivered like this.
