This is definitely a sleek and simple trash dispenser, I think it's great for a small kitchen. The "soft-close" function works great. I prefer to tuck the garbage bag inside the trash bin so that the lid shuts completely vs leaving some of the bag exposed.

Let me start by saying that I rated the sturdiness at 4 stars only because the steel is a bit thin - I cannot accurately rate this because I have only had it for 1 week. Let me tell you though, this is a great self close trash can for the price! It fits the space that we placed it almost perfectly - I could not have asked for a better size. The open / close mechanism has worked perfectly so far. My wife is just in Love with this trash can - yes, she actually said that. A 13 gallon bag fits in the plastic inner liner and the top fits snugly around it. When the lid is closed, you cannot tell there is a bag there. I did notice a slight chemical smell form the plastic liner, as others have noted, but it was very slight and I did not see the need to place it outside - it went right into use.

For the price, if it gets dinged up or damaged, I can order another one to replace it and STILL be cheaper than the big named brands. This is an Amazon brand product and I have bought a couple of other Amazon Brand products and have been really impressed with the quality - this is the same. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

It's a far cry from the 30 year old beat up plastic bin I kept under the sink. This is now the most elegant item in my kitchen. Easy to load and unload trash bags and I like the separate inner container that can be easily cleaned if a trash bag breaks. Easy open and close pedal and secure from curious dogs. It's short enough to slide under my counter top when not in use but also easily transported closer to the sink when needed (handy handle in back to grab the entire can). Keeps all smells contained.

The lid will not open when flush against the wall needs pulled out about 1 inch.
Also the lid doesn't open all the way with the pedal to the floor.

On a good note the can seems to be built well overall should last for years.

I can use a regular 13L/medium trash bag...there is a notch in the back of the receptacle to twist & stuff the bag.

This trash can is well worth it. It fits most bags comfortably with no slack. It looks clean, elegant, simple, and good quality. We had to get a new bin since the Roomba kept stealing the foot pedal. The push bar system eliminates that issue beautifully.

The garbage can came with a huge dent on the front. The top and bottom came protected but not the front. I tried to roll it out but the sides are still smashed. Really upset, if it wanted bent I would’ve been 100% happy

I love this trash can, it’s exactly what I was looking for!! Works perfectly so far and looks great with my other stainless steel appliances!!
