So I was looking at couches for about 4 weeks now, daily, for hours. 6 Categories were of the utmost importance for me, and below are what this couch scored.

Aesthetically pleasing: 9/10
Notes: Looks modern & sexy on every aspect.

Functionalities: 10/10
Notes: Pillows move, couch folds easily, storage under the couch, arm rests, cupholders, what else can you ask for?

Price: 10/10
Notes: Looking at all of the other possible choices on the market, there is no wonder it's an Amazon Best Seller.

Height: 10/10 (although may differ for others)
Notes: Was looking for couches which were lower to the ground than others, thus- making the ceilings look higher.

Ease of assembly: 9/10
Notes: Fast and easy....but this is where I thought things were a bit weird. The back 2 legs already have pre-made holes in the couch for them....although the front 2 don't. You will have to use a ruler or a measuring tape and decide where you want to drill the holes in. Bit silly...but no big deal.

Comfortability: 2/10
Notes: This is where the company failed. When all else is perfect, why not just put an extra few dollars into comfort...which in the greater scheme of things, is the most important category. No way would you want to sit on this couch for hours at a time. Moreover...if you don't put some padding down on the couch before making a friend or family member sleep on it...they wont like you very much as I am near confident the following day they will be a bit grouchy at the least. In addition, the armrest is uncomfortable...as there is no significant padding...but rather just wood, which tends to hurt some people's elbows after a while. Lastly, now that I have had this couch for about a year...you can literally feel the springs coming from underneath every time you sit. Father refuses to sit on it.

Overall score: C+ / B-
For the price...this is the #1 couch you can possibly get. I say this with confidence, hence the Subject Line above.

I bought 3 of these to outfit my "cheap dude" home theater. My goal: a home theater for 6, with every item purchased through Amazon for UNDER $3,000 (including decorations, fixtures and paint). My big worry was theater seating . . . These absolutely nailed it with a plus: my home theater is now convertable to an additional guest room!

I debated buying this convertible couch from the reviews but made the purchase anyway. I love the way it looks however, the couch is super small and low to the ground. Great for an office and will work for me in my one bedroom apartment but won't be comfortable or roomy for guests. I gave 4 stars because the size but the material is nice and very easy assembly. The cup holder is nice and can be pushed upward to be hidden.

When I purchased the couch Amazon prompted me I could add the ottoman and chair as a bundle. This was supposed to allow the couch and chair/ottoman to become a sectional type of couch. This isn't necessarily the case. They are made by two different companies and don't really fit together in that sectional style. However I am still happy with the purchase. The fact that the couch also folds down into a bed is a plus.

This isn't misleading at all. It can fit two people as a couch. For sleeping it can comfortably fit one. I am 5'9" so this is good for me. If you are considered quite tall you're legs might hang off of this a bit. I live alone & I use this for gaming in my room. It sits a bit low. The arm rests are velcroed on so you can pull them off & use them however you want. The middle compartment is cool. Can hold your drinks or your plate if you choose to sit it there. One of the cup holders for me sometimes comes out (Don't Think They're Supposed To) but I just pop it back in there. No big deal. It's decent. If you are looking for a REAL & BIG futon for a bedroom, this isn't what you want.

The futon was shipped quickly and arrived in decent shape. I ordered 2 of these for my home theatre and they seem to have come from different locations, as their condition was very different. One was covered in a white mold and I had to scrub it down with Lysol before I could even put it together. In fact, I had to scrub it down again after it was put together because it still smelled moldy. The pillows on the moldy futon were also crushed and still are not fully "puffed up" as they are on the other sofa. The marks for screwing in the legs for support were in the wrong places as well, but I figured that out pretty easily. These are pretty simple to assemble and one person can do it alone (of course it's always easier with help). They can be assembled in about 20 minutes to half an hour. They look very nice when fully assembled.

For two of those quantities... I paid 840 dollars. I went to the brick and found better design and quality better than the one I ordered for 729 dollars... that’s for two orders. This product is over priced for its quality. It’s also less comfortable to sit on it. My recommendation to other buyers: Do not be fooled. Examine your options.
