I was a little hesitant to purchase this based on the other reviews but did - and it came in and *heart eyes emoji* it’s totally as cute in person as it is in the photos! Modern, sleek, thoughtful play kitchen! It comes with a metal pot, metal pan, metal spatula - all have metal hooks to hang them on, 3 “cuttable” (velcro) wooden carrots and 3 beets, teal planter boxes to set them in with brown foam inserts to hold them in place, chalkboard menu/inspiration/recipe wall and chalkboard labels for the planters, 3 ice cubes that come out of the dispenser on the refrigerator, a wooden knife WITH a thoughtful slot to store it, a wooden cutting board with a hook on the left side to hang it on, 2 collapsible wood-printed “drawer” inserts for storage, a removable oven shelf/rack, farmhouse sink, a faucet that lights up AND makes water noises (batteries already installed), 2 “gas” burners that also light up and make noise (batteries already installed). Goes very well with Melissa and Doug wooden food/crates.
Most of the kitchen is particle board. Backsplash & back panels are made of that thick cardboard stuff most adult furniture comes with nowadays. I think the quality is so great for the cost, it’s not plastic but it’s also not a clunky bright blue red and yellow colored kitchen in the middle of your living room, and it’s also not all “real wood” and won’t cost you $600. Took 2 people to set up, about 1hr. One person mostly for helping hold parts in place. Instructions don’t have words but pretty self explanatory once you understand what the final product should look like, and understand which way the pieces should face. We did have to loosen a couple screws in order to shimmy a few pieces in the right slots - but tightened everything back up fine with no stripping problems. Comes with a few spare parts (:
Also shipped to Hawaii for F R E E ! ! Arrived undamaged.
Such a cute way to teach our little ones about “farm to table”. Love it. Buy it!!!
We ordered this kitchen as a replacement for another one that my kids got for Christmas that was too small. After reading the reviews, I knew this one would be the perfect size for them as they grow. My kids are 2 and 4. This came in today and I immediately put it together. I used the BILT app as other reviewers suggested and it made assembly a breeze. I did it by myself in about 2 hours. This kitchen is the cutest I’ve ever seen! It even has an ice maker with ice cubes! My kiddos absolutely love it, and I am so glad we upgraded to this gorgeous play kitchen. Just buy it, you won’t regret it. :)
Probably the most adorable kitchen I have found. With that being said we were so excited to get it and my 2 almost 3 year old was just the same. Instructions were terrible. 2 parts didn’t line up correctly and the screws destroyed several areas and popped through the wood within seconds of carefully screwing in. Icing on the cake was one viewable piece already being chipped. Total bummer !
If they could fix directions and quality of wood I’d say it’s the cutest looking kitchen out there.
I bought this for my sons 5th Birthday. He had a plastic kitchen that he received for his 2nd birthday that we played with daily, multiple times per day but it did not have enough storage. So I decided to purchase this kitchen for him so that he could have a more "grown up' better quality kitchen with a lot more storage for a smallish space. We could not be happier! It was easy to put together. Just time consuming. But it was well worth it since he LOVES it. I'm going to put a small strand of Christmas lights on the top to decorate it for Christmas.
If you’re like me and struggling to find a “boy” kitchen or something gender neutral look no further. I am so happy we decided to purchase this kitchen. I was looking for a kitchen for my five year old son. I wanted something big enough for him; but not too big for our space. It’s actually so nice to look at that it’s right next to my kitchen so we can cook together! I didn’t even have to banish it to the basement play zone. It’s perfect.
First, the style is trendy and neutral. It’s a pretty “manly” kitchen, IMO. The teal window boxes are a nice pop of color. Boys and girls will love it!
The details added make this kitchen stand apart from the rest. When you turn on the faucet a blue light comes on to simulate water, along with the sound of running water. The stove burners glow red and make the sound just like an ignighting gas burner, followed by the sound of a bubbling pot when they’re turned on. None of the noises are obnoxious or loud and they are on short timers just in case someone accidentally leaves the water running or the stove on. The refrigerator door has an ice maker that will drop plastic cubes of ice into a cup. The rod to hang pans and utensils on helps keep the kitchen looking clean and classy. The two soft wood look bins are wonderful for storage and bonus...they are quiet! The oven rack slides out and there’s more storage underneath for extra pans or cookie sheets. The kitchen comes with three beets and three carrots that kids can cut with the included wooden knife and cutting board. Kiddos can store the veggies in adorable window boxes. There’s a peg on the side to store the cutting board, and a knife holder on the small shelf beneath the chalkboard. It comes with a couple of metal pans and a metal spatula. They truly thought of everything! This kitchen does not disappoint!!
We purchased the Melissa & Doug 22-Piece Play Kitchen Accessories Set to compliment this kitchen; as well as Learning Resources play food. (This is the best quality play food!!)
This product is super cute, but it is super cheap!!! We're not even finished putting it together and THREE pieces of wood have split. It is a pain in the butt to put together. And the best part is that an hour after I ordered this it shipped, which was awesome right? Wrong, I clicked on the item again to show my aunt how cute it was and they had already marked it down $10. Now, two days later it is marked down $15. So, horrible product AND horrible company!
My 2 year old received this for Christmas after much research on my behalf.
Style-wise, it is perfect: not too girly, not too masculine, but actually looks like a proper kitchen and fits in well with our home decor. Way better than any of the gruesome pink, red or horrid ikea designs!
Santa made the mistake of assembling it after a few glasses of wine, so he recommends probably attempting to assemble it prior to having a tipple.
It is sturdy and looks as thought it will last for some time!
Got this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She loves it! Highly recommended.
Overall excellent kids kitchen. If using power drill set torque to lowest setting. Instructions missing page. Actually different instructions of a similar kitchen were there in its place. It was only one page so could figure it out. Just assembled. Battery for tap sound effect does not work. Not a huge deal. Kids love it!
This is one great kitchen for children! We gave it to our grandson for Christmas. He loves cooking and making things on it. The frig dispenses little wooden ice cubes, the carrots have separate pieces with velcro to hold in place so he can cut them with the wooden pretend knife. It has pots and pans. The quality is excellent. My daughter put it together herself in an hour. Lots of entertainment for him.
This is super cute! Totally worth the money.
And I received it literally 12 hours after placing my order!
Was not expecting such fast delivery but I was happy about that.
I was actually super impressed by this! We bought it for our girls for Christmas and they are in love with it :)
Assembly directions were very clear and easy. Arrived before expected which was awesome.
