First let me start off by saying parental advisory on this review. So I just installed my new Gator cover and it was pretty easy. Not as easy as the town hussy but close. I’m about as handy as Captain Hook but I managed to install it properly. The cover looks great. It’s pretty flush to the bed and secures well. I give it 5 stars based on the price $199, the ease to install and the look. No it’s not the best cover on the makert but for $199 it is. I wouldn’t suggest trying to bang some tramp on the cover it’s not that sturdy but if you want to lock your side chick in the bed to hide her from the wife it does the job.

So I've had this cover now for a couple months and I have to say I am really impressed with it. I've had to remove it twice, which by the way is the reason I bought it because its a truck and i need access to my whole bed from time to time, and this cover allows for that quite easily. It is a good quality cover, better than I expected at this price point and it really looks good on the truck. When I'm driving and the wind blows across it, it does not make any noise either. I am pretty particular about what I put on my truck and I would certainly buy this again. I will say one thing that I've done to potentially increase the life of this is, the plastic knobs that tighten in down at the front, I went onto Amazon and found some star shaped clamping nuts that have metal threads on them because they are easier to tighten and I think they will last longer. As often as I take it off, I can see the plastic ones not being able to last long. Other than that, I am very happy and pleased with this purchase.

Great looking tonneau cover. Clips seem to be strong enough to last and are very adjustable for proper tension. When it's folded up you have more than half of the truck bed to load larger items that are too tall with the cover closed. It Is very secure while driving down the road or highway. The only reason I give it 4 starts is because at the front of the truck bed there was a 1/4 inch gap where water and air could enter. Luckily I had the seal I didn't use from my last truck that filled the gap. It does come with another seal but it shows that it is used for the tailgate end which I decided not to try at this time.

Pro -- It looks good, low profile. (As long as it stays attached)

Cons - Brackets are the worst excuse for brackets I have ever seen. They will fall off when traveling so only way to keep this top on is maybe drill into the bed. I requested shims and followed the directions and after addition of the shims it did not help at all. Pictures attached is from a trip where my family used my truck and all the brackets fell the "blank" off. The rails are flemzy and the don't help the stability of the top. Parts were missing when shipped and had to have seller ship the missing parts (plastic caps and nuts to hold the front down. I really want this top to work but I wasted $200 on this top and recommend no one buy from this manufacturer.

Very disappointed I discarded the box before trying out the cover or I would return the it. Cover shows day light at the folding areas on the sides and water leaks here, Cover also shows small amount of day light at tailgate and water leaks here, cover is flapping/bouncing while driving at speeds 30mph or faster and is very noisy due to this and also causes leakage to be worse. Overall poorly designed cover, save your money and invest in something that is hard and made more exact for this model truck. Installed on 2018 Ford F150 XLT 5.5' bed with tailgate step.

I should have gotten one of these long ago. It's very useful. We got it so that we could go on vacation and put all the luggage in the back, and keep it from getting wet. It does that well. It also will keep casual thieves away, though someone could cut it open pretty quickly. This thing goes on easy. It's a breeze. And, if I'm hauling lumber, I just fold it up, snap the straps together, and load up. I've had it a few months in the Florida rain and sun, and it's held up well, and I expect it to continue to hold up well. I am very well pleased with this very well made truck bed cover.

I installed the Gator ETX Soft Roll Up Truck Bed Tonneau Cover on my 2019 Ford F-150 XLT STX 4X4 6.6' bed. Tonneau rails mounted on inside of the truck bed rails for a low profile. This worked fine with my plastic bed covers. Did not take long to install about 45 minutes by my self. Looks good, fits tight, easy install. I give it 5 stars based on the price I paid for it on sale 2019 Memorial Day week end $169.15. Lifetime Warranty on the frame and a 10-year warranty on the tarp. Plus MADE IN THE USA. I will report back after long-term usage.

So far so good. No leaks yet( proper installation helps that). Can’t beat the value here. Lots of options out there, really depends on looks, functionality, and what your willing to spend. If I had to install again would take 15 minutes. It’s simple and amazon amazing as usual.

A nice looking cover, very low profile. It definitely gives that finishing touch to my F-150.
The installation was relatively easy. I took my time and enjoyed doing it carefully, so it took about an hour.
A couple of notes about fitment, and one dislike I'd like to make note of. First, my truck is equipped with a dealer installed Ford drop in plastic bedliner. The side rails are too long to install without some modification. I ended up removing the two little foam rubber seals from the rear ends of the side rails, as shown in picture #3. They just peel out. With those removed, the side rails fit fine and the tailgate closes without problem. I tried leaving them on and slamming the tailgate, as another reviewer suggested, but it wouldn't latch. The rubber flap across the rear tonneau crossbar actually lays down over this area and it should seal fine.
The clamps are flimsy and poorly designed. VERY fiddly to keep them lined up straight and tighten the fasteners at the same time. They should be designed to interlock at the bottom edge, as the clamps on more expensive tonneau kits do. I will be making some small aluminum spacers to fit in the bottom and hold the clamp spacing out, to allow even clamping force with the fasteners.
I've driven over 100 kms since installing it on the truck, much of that close to highway speeds. Nothing but a slight rippling/drumming noticed, and no flapping noises. I anticipate good service and longevity from the cover once I get the slight improvements made to the clamps. Would recommend purchasing, but only by folks capable of thinking outside the box for the small fixes.

Apparently you have to cut the plastic bed liner to have it fit properly. Currently I have to slam the tailgate to get it to close. Not impressed I have to take it off and cut my bed liner.

Not sure if it will even fit with a spray in, depends how thick I guess, I'll find out next year when I spray my bed liner.

3 stars because I have to mod my bedliner to have it fit,no where in the instructions or on the ad does it say that, had to find out on a YouTube video from a diy installer.

Installed this within 30 minutes. One thing to note, the recommended setting of 4 for the tension is too lose so spent a bit of time figuring out the best tension setting. I have had it for a month so will see how it last through winter

Gator tonneau easy to install, the fabric folds out tight and the mid frame has a slight curve in. What would be nice is having some sort of support between each tri fold section just for the little extra added support, other wise it's great. Winter is coming so we'll see how it holds up to the nasties of old man winter.

Good price , fast delivery;
Quality is average and so how is cheap but does the work. Cover is thin; installation is easy. Would recommend for 3-5 yrs usage, don’t think it would last too long.( I maybe wrong)

I'm had Ford OEM soft tonneau covers for the past 6 years and for the extra cost I would not buy this again. I would go to a Ford OEM part. My other covers have last years, this one I'll be happy if it lasts a year. It fits ok and works ok but it doesn't seem as durable.

Install required some modification, hardware is so cheap I'm not sure it will last more than a few days. Overall disappointed, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and there's a reason this product is a third of the price of good ones. We'll see if it lasts.
