Wow. Opening this bad boy was rather intimidating. I was close to boxing it back up and selling it for a already built one. Glad I decided to assemble anyway...
Once you start it’s really rather easy to put together. The instructions are spot on. The way they should all be. Labeled nicely. Easy to read. They even make the instructions funny with the labels of each step.
It took a hour plus, but it was just me ( a mom) juggling a toddler and 2 month old. Had it been me , alone , it’d be much quicker but I’m also decent at assembly so...
Anyway ,
My daughter loves it so far.
It’s sturdy and cute and fun.
She is a little ticked off it doesn’t have official, working plumbing since she so deeply loves running water but she’ll have to survive.
I see lots of fun being had with it anyway.
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my 2 1/2 yo granddaughter, after many reviews of all the different play kitchens out there. I think she will LOVE it on Christmas morning as she very much enjoys “helping” Gigi in the kitchen. (The beauty of grandchildren is just an indescribable thing) I was a little worried about the contents when it arrived as the box had taken a beating & had been retapped at some point. I was thrilled that all pieces were accounted for & that much of the individual pieces were wrapped separately. No scratches or dents. All internal edges & corners of the shipping box were padded with styrofoam pieces. It took me a solid 2 hours to put together-mostly because everything needed to be hand screwed. The directions were simple & clear, there were just a lot of pieces! If this is going to be a Christmas gift do NOT wait until Christmas Eve to put it together!! There isn’t enough jingle juice out there to make it go faster!!
This is a great gender neutral play kitchen.
It has cute features like an ice dispenser that really dispenses play ice. The stove knobs make noise when you turn them. The microwave has a turning plate.
It took an hour and a half to put together.
Looks great near our kitchen very nice addiction for pretend play toys.
This thing is ADORABLE! On top of that it was very easy to put together, the instructions were written extremely clearly and all the parts are well labeled! It took my husband and I less than an hour to put together using a drill (don’t over tighten). It is very sturdy and I know it will last my kids a long time! Great Christmas gift for my 4 and almost 2 year old!
As expected with Melissa and Doug this kitchen is great quality. The look matches the price and I can tell it’s quite sturdy and will last for a long time.
The size is perfect- both the tall 4 year old and 2 year old are enjoying it equally.
My only disappointment is that the oven, fridge and freezer interiors resemble cabinets more than they do appliances. I actually had to take a few mins to explain to the kiddos what each was because it wasn’t obvious. I wish they had put a rack in the oven instead of a wooden shelf, and used a different shelf in the fridge as well. There is also no knob/button for the oven to set the temp, etc. Just those few additions would have taken this kitchen from pretty good to perfect.
The kids enjoyed the ice feature a lot (tho I wish more were included).
All in all, I’d say this is a very good product. Would make a great gift as well.
So adorable! Very durable and assembly instructions were easy to follow. We gave our kitchen a little update. I added peel and stick subway tile backsplash as well as motion sensor led lights under the microwave, inside the microwave and inside the fridge. Our daughter loves it!
I bought this kitchen for my 3 year old and it was a huge hit, he loves to play with it everyday. As a parent I really enjoyed the quick assembly, easy to understand instructions and added safety features that I haven’t seen in other brands aside from Melissa & Doug, such as wall mounting and stabilizers to prevent tilting. The kitchen is made of durable quality material it will definitely support play for years, and it’s a great size kitchen for younger and older kids.
My daughter LOVES IT!! I was a little worried because my daughter is nearly twice as tall as the average 2.5 year old. For an idea of how big she is, I was looking for a play kitchen that a 5/6 year old could use comfortably. This is definitely it.
Building it takes quite some time but if you follow the manual, you’ll have no issues. I recommend building it before letting any child see it bcuz it’ll take 2+ hours.
My daughter loves her kitchen, she loves playing while i cook, but you need patience to assemble it, it took me 3 hours, but it was completely worth it
