The shelves were very easy to assemble. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a little splash of decoration in their home. Please note: Each shelf is about 8 inches.
I just finished building and installing it on the wall. It took about an hour (a long hour) but it came out very nice!
All I needed was a Phillips screw driver.
First off, some of the reviews are wrong. The screw color does not matter because included are colored plugs that fit over the screws and hid them. EVEN the product photo is missing these plugs that hid the screws! Maybe it's a product update or something but it works for me!
Second, people are saying these boards bend. They do not bend at all. I think they are trying to build it while attached to the wall. That is just dumb. You build it on a table or ground... Then you attach it to the wall with 3 screws. NOTE: these shelves will not hold considerable weight... it's only 3 screws holding it up after all.
Lastly, the shelves are very small, only about 7.5 inches tall each. Each shelve length has a 7 inch radius... so not much.
For a cheap, small, wall mounted corner shelves, this is the best deal. I'm very happy with this purchase.
LOOks very nice ‘ and easy to assemble.
It's hard to complain too much for the price, it's veneer on MDF board. The boards themselves are not horrible but the hardware is. So do yourself a favor and toss it. There's a couple problems, but overall it's fine for nicknacks. First the holes for the screws are drilled as deep as the screws so it's very easy to strip them before they get tight. This is easy to fix if you use new screws that are another 1/4-1/2' longer so they have more bite. Since it's a veneer using wood glue to attempt to make it more secure doesn't work as the glue doesn't stick to the veneer. Also make sure you pay attention to the square pieces only one side has a veneer on it, so you want to make sure that's the side showing when assembling. The mounting hardware is pretty cheap, best to use some better in wall fasteners unless you get lucky in your corner and hit a stud on both sides. The other thing I would say is it's not tiny, but it's not nearly as big as the product photo would have you believe, anything larger than about 6" in any dimension is probably not going to fit.
I'd put this in the category of disposable functional furniture. It's very cheap, it looks pretty nice, and will probably last for years as long as you don't put anything really heavy on it or abuse it. However, I wouldn't expect it to survive a move or any abuse unless you disassembled it, and even then the MDF might not hold screws the second assembly. It's a nice piece for the $24, if it was $50 I'd say it was way overpriced.
Having just remodeled my home/office bathroom which included getting rid of one of those tall plastic double door cheap storage cabinets, I opted for a SouthWest color scheme of cabinets, a mojave sand wall color, mojave Corian counter tops and a dark distressed looking barnwood flooring.
With the cabinet gone, that whole corner exploded with emptiness. I saw this corner piece here on Amazon and took a flyer on it as being the one". It was. Fairly easy to put together however pay close attention to alpha id system. It looks inutitive but then it becomes a rubix cube if you mess up one piece connection.
I get a lot of compliments from guests abut the bathroom. Not bad decorating for a guy, dontcha think?
Posting pictures to show the low-cheap quality. There are scrarches and nicks all over the particle board. And some of the predrilled screw holes don't align. I'm more upset about the scratches on the visible sides. I just pulled this out of the box. Guess this will be in the kids play room not my living room..
I couldn't be more disappointed if I tried. I set this thing up and it took maybe 10 minutes for it to fall apart. Screwed in the screws in each section and I didn't even tighten them as hard as they should have because the particle wood started coming apart immediately. The anchor points you get are three. Had a total amount of maybe 4lbs and the whole thing came crashing down. Luckily it was Lego figures that were hanging so putting it back together is not a big deal. It's now sitting in the same corner I put it up because if I pick it up right now, I will fling it across the room and damage something else. Don't waste your money. Make your own with REAL wood from HomeDepot or get it from someone that uses real wood.
I love it! So easy to install! Under an hour and I'm a woman! I got this for my bedroom because I have small items such as hair clip, glasses and even lotions. I'm going to get another one for the other corner. I'm happy today because of this. It's going to be a good day regardless.
Package arrived quick. Arrived as described. I thought dimensions would be bigger. Overall, easy to put together, easy to put up on the wall.
I'm very happy with this shelf: it's proven to be the space-conserver I hoped it would be and has conveniently freed up some storage elsewhere. Installment was easy. The instructions on the box alongside the little stickers attached to each wooden panel made initial assembly a simple task. I actually fastened this item to a corner between a plywood wardrobe and a drywall. Despite the material differences, once attached it is solid and strong enough to take a good amount of weight.
Delivery was super fast even from the US. Perfect size for a Sonos one.
My walls turned out not to be at right angles, but, it still installed without an issue.
Brill product looks great, but in my opinion the delivery is WAY over priced. Bought this once as it was ideal but won’t be buying again. :(
great item fast del well made , looks great
Apart from the size of shelves being small, this is a lovely looking shelf and pretty easy to construct
Just as described
This is soooooooo cute! I absolutely adore how it looks on my wall corner! Perfect for making a room less boring and adding some modern touches to it. Quite small though, but is useful and easy to build.
Easy to put together but it doesn't attach to both walls properly leaving a gap between the shelf and one of the walls. (I have a feeling this has more to do with my wall not being at a perfect 90 degree angle than a defect of the shelf itself.) Once assembled, suggest nailing the middle and top pieces (which nail to the same wall) to the wall first then nailing the bottom panel which nails to the adjacent wall last to ensure the unit is as secure as possible. I used the anchors that came with the shelf but you may want to use a more heavy duty anchor if you're planning on putting heavier items on the shelves (the provided anchors are flimsy). The shelves themselves aren't that large (fits about a 6" x 8" picture frame) so don't suggest putting anything too heavy on them. The material quality is average/comparable to other similar pieces - there was some glue residue but most of it wiped away with a baby wipe. Overall, if you're not a perfectionist and can deal with a barely noticeable gap, a good shelf for the price.
Love this!! Bought it in 2 shades! Super easy to build and install. The 2nd one isn’t flush to wall but that is an issue with wall not with product. I use it for books only small paperbacks fit standing up but I just lay the larger ones across. Will be buying another one!
3.5 stars if it was an option. I like the concept, and this is very much a case of "you get what you pay for". Fits nicely in the corner where I placed it. Particle board. That's my gripe. Make sure once it's assembled you pick it up... Carefully. It will flex in the middle given its weight, and I can see it breaking easily because of this. The included covers for the screw tops won't stay in either so that's a pain. A neat little shelf, that I like, but it's quality is reflected by it's price.
The instructions are straightforward and you can put it together in less than an hour. You can also split up the shelves if you want. However, it is not the best material. Certain sides are unfinished or chipped. I used black nail polish to finish the edges. I think there should be more holes drilled in the "E" shelves to attach to the wall more securely.
Update: price just went up by almost half after purchase. Wtf?
