The Rivet Berkshire is a nice looking modern sofa and I fell in love with its looks the first time I saw it. And it so happened that there was 'used in good condition' available for purchase from Amazon Warehouse. The description stated that it was missing the legs, but I decided to go ahead and buy the sofa because I thought, I could just contact Amazon (Rivet is an Amazon brand and so their customer service number will get you an Amazon representative) and buy the legs from them, right? Nope. This is where the nightmare started.

After buying the sofa, I immediately contacted the customer service trying to buy the legs. In the product description, you can find the owner's manual with the number to call which is exactly what I did. However, once connected, the CSR on the other end of the line couldn't help me find the legs. She didn't even know that Rivet was an Amazon brand and she had no idea on how to get me the legs. She actually recommended me to just buy a generic legs from a local shop which I didn't want to do.
Long story short, after multiple calls, multiple online chats, multiple comments on Amazon's FB page, nobody could procure the legs. If you actually buy this sofa and one of the legs accidentally break and you want to file a warranty claim, according to Amazon they will send you a whole new couch instead of just the part.

DELIVERY:
I picked a Thursday evening between 6 and 9 PM delivery window so I wouldn't have to mess with my work schedule. However, the day before the delivery when I received the phone call from XPO (the delivery company), they were telling me that they were going to show up between 3 and 6 pm. Wait, what? I checked my order confirmation and I did choose 6 and 9 pm. Another call to Amazon and XPO, and they changed my delivery window to between 6 and 9 AM! Their explanation was due to the distance of my address from their warehouse, it would be easier for them to make an earlier delivery to me.
So, just know whatever delivery window you choose doesn't matter if it's an inconvenience to them. They would rather inconvenience you. Oh, and let me add that the delivery people gave me an attitude when I told them to bring the couch into my living room (it was an any room delivery option).

THE SOFA:
More on the firm side and despite the lumbar supports, it was very uncomfortable for me. The lumbar supports are removable but due to the shape, they were taking a lot of space.
The sofa feels cheap. The wood material under the arm support was thin and hollow. The description stated that the frame was made of 'sturdy wood frame' but it's definitely not solid wood frame.

THE LEGS
Oh yeah, I actually found the legs. They weren't missing at all. They were located inside a zippered pocket under the couch. However, after I installed the legs, one of the front legs was about 1.5" off the ground. This means that the sofa was wobbly. I thought, one of the legs was the wrong size, but I measured them and they were all the same length. This means the sofa's frame was warped/uneven and this is the main reason why this sofa is now on its way back to Amazon.

Quick review: nice couch, budget friendly, sturdy; delivery was early.

Extended review: Quite pleased with this piece—I was stuck between a rock and a hard place with budget and longevity; I wanted something nice, around $1000, and contemporary, full-well knowing whatever I purchased wouldn’t be a “forever couch,” and so much out there is mass produced junk. Initially I was going to buy the lighter shade, and in what ended up being a happy change, the dark grey dropped to about 35% off (meaning I could put the other $350 toward more decor items). The color is lovely and has more character than the lighter shade.

I’d say it’s an excellent 5/5 “30-something” couch, while you’re an apartment dweller, but those looking to really fill a space with substantial furniture should move upward (and increase your budget for a quality piece). This is definitely “peak-Millennial with a good job,” furniture, entry-level young professional furniture.

I’ve noticed a few other reviewers left their stats, and I’m right in the same boat at 5’10”—it is a good length for lounging. *Edit: I’m also >>huge<< and have had no issues with my weight on this couch.

A note on delivery:
You have to be present for the delivery, and I selected a date I would have been home, but they shipped and delivered a whole week early; thankfully I had room in my storage facility to keep it before moving into my new pad and wasn’t doing much that day, otherwise it could have been a snafu. The box was a bit banged up, but nothing terrible, and the unit was in excellent condition on arrival.

I am very impressed with the quality of my purchase. I spend a lot of time curled up reading on this couch but it is big enough for me to stretch out on (I am 5’11”) and I would be able to sleep an entire night on this sofa. Also, I really appreciate the texture and variegated quality of the tweed as I am not particularly careful and I let my dog up on it; any potential stains are well hidden and I live in rainy Portland. I think it’ll age well and whenever guests come over they think it is much more expensive and from Hay. Delivery was on time and courteous.
Just got this in yesterday. The couch was easy to assemble and sturdy. However it cost $760 dollars and is not even close to worth that. It’s pretty small and very stiff. The cushions zip to the back of the couch and it leaves a significant crack/space in the center. Not happy at all with this purchase or the delivery. I happen to walk outside when the guy was wondering around. I asked him if he was there to deliver my couch - they had texted me it was on the way. And he said yes but was walking the other way. I had my movers still there and he said that if they wouldn’t have been there he wouldn’t have delivered it to me. My movers got it for me and he just left. I would just avoid this all together. Now I’m stuck with a $760 couch that’s probably worth $400 max.
I hope they bring this sofa back ! I am looking to buy another I love it so much.
This was my first amazon furniture purchase and I was pleasantly surprised at how great this chair is! It’s super wide, enough to fit an adult and at least one child. Not too firm but also not too soft, the pillow on the back really helps with the comfort. If I had a critique it would only be that the fabric is a little on the scratchy side, but not enough to really bother me. This chair fit perfect with our new mid century modern couch, I just love the over all look it provides.
It's a very nice chair in person. It feels like a good quality chair. Be sure to wait for the right price as it can fluctuate greatly
