These are my first sofa cover purchases. I purchased one chair cover, and two sofa covers, all in the charcoal color. I have had them a few weeks and use these covers to manage pet hair and dirt or food spills. They have accomplished that purpose, and protected my furniture from mud, a few hairballs, and a lot of pet hair. They simply drape over the furniture, and have no straps. They are 100% polyester and made in China.
They currently fit well over an IKEA Ekero chair and an IKEA Friheten L-shaped sectional sofa. I used two sofa covers to cover the sectional, and just tucked the arm flaps into where the seat cushions meet. The material isn't soft, a little scratchy in fact, but they're polyester and so you trade softness for durability here. The covers are light-medium thickness. Some of the stitching along the edging on one of them is coming apart after one wash. However, the biggest problem I have with the covers is that the colors don't match, despite all being listed as "charcoal". The charcoal sofa covers are much lighter than the charcoal chair cover. I purchased all at the same time and they arrived in this way. The color difference was further exacerbated by the first wash (cold, gentle cycle). The color difference is probably not noticeable to most guests, but I was struck by the difference immediately upon opening the packages and notice it daily. You can take a look at the attached photos and decide for yourself.
Overall, these covers will do the job but just know that they aren't perfectly matching and I am suspicious of their longevity. I am guessing I will have to repair them within the next couple of washes. But, the lower quality matches the lower price point.
***Update***: After using these for over a year now, I have downgraded my assessment from 4 to 1.5 stars. A couple of reasons for this: After multiple washes the color has faded drastically in the two sofa covers. It looks like they were left out in the sun for hours on end. The contrast between the two covers (sofa and chair) is very stark now, to the point that people notice upon seeing it. My biggest reason for the downgrade, though, is that the covers are basically a magnet for pet hair and don't wash out. During the wash/dry cycle, pet hair gets spread to both sides of the cover, in effect coating my furniture with hair with every use. I attribute this the thick polyester I suppose? I still use them occasionally for the dirt-prevention factor, but the hair problem is the most frustrating, since that was the main reason for their purchase. I find that a plain cotton bed sheet works MUCH better for hair now, and washes out with no problems. I would not buy this product again. Instead, I am going to try a couch cover made of cotton.
I think my definition of "fit" differs from the product labeling.
I've included two pictures to illustrate my frustration:
Photo 1 is of my chair and a half, Arm to Arm (inside dimension) is 42", fits perfect.
Photo 2 is of my loveseat, Arm to Arm (inside dimension) is 55", as you can see it's woefully small (and this is supposed to fit loveseats up to 73"?!?!)
Product should read: "Fits most Loveseats up to 42" Long"
Beyond the misleading product labeling I did award 2 stars because the color (charcoal) was spot on and the fabric seems durable.
I really love this cover but I did have to modify it. Our dog likes to lean over the back of the couch to look out the window. This cover has just one strap that runs horizontally on the top part of the cover, from left to right around the back of the couch. It takes two seconds to pull the top part down to the seat defeating it's purpose. I removed that strap entirely and made two straps that run vertically down the back of the couch, then underneath, and then to the front of the bottom of the cover that hangs in the front. I did this on the left and right side. It's definitely a pain now to remove and replace because you have to run the strap under the couch every time but it absolutely stays perfectly in place now. Im not saying this won't work without modifications but if you have a slick leather couch and a rowdy boxer you might have to make some adjustments.
Ordered two to match. One came within 4-5 days with the other on back order scheduled to arrive in 6 weeks. The second arrived one week later. It did not match. It looked like it was faded and washed with a pair of blue jeans. See photo attached. Quality is good for the price. I feel as though the company saw there was no match and so sent the items in separate packages thinking it would not be noticed. A real disappointment.
I've had this for 2 days and I'm already seeing picks in the fabric from my cat's claws. I hope it lasts. It seems like it may end up looking bad if I have pick marks all over it, but I hope not because I like it. So far I only have one spot with pick marks. I purchased this because of the other reviews and the uploaded photos so I am just being honest. Its comfortable to sit on, and isn't too heavy. Plus it's pretty
I have a chocolate leather couch that is falling apart after only three years! I am not ready to purchase new furniture yet but I definitely did not want to continue to look at the deterioration of my current furniture (smile)! These slip covers look great on the couch! They blend perfectly. I have never been a fan of slipcovers but these are really nice, comfortable, and they were affordable. Although I have a sectional, I was able to finagle a way to use the loveseat slipcover on one part of the couch. Very nice and again, I do recommend this product. Now, I just have to figure out how to work the attachments that come with the slipcovers.
The largest size didn't cover my 88" couch - if you want your seats completely covered, your seating area can only be about 62" wide. However, I liked the look and the material so I figured I'd just buy the chair version to cover up my last cushion. Even that was barely wide enough to cover our cushions, but the more annoying thing was that the color of the material on the patterned side didn't match even tho they were both sold as "charcoal". The seat version was noticeably darker than the sofa. Fortunately the solid flip side did match, so I've kept them. We have a leather couch with removable cushions that allow us to tuck the material in pretty well, so it doesn't shift around too badly even without straps. Eventually I plan to just sew the two pieces together and maybe put my own strap on. No one seems to make a cover designed for a larger sofa.
Only had this for a couple of weeks but it is a very nice cover and seems like strong material. My dog gave her seal of approval by jumping up and trying to dig herself a nest. The cover stood up well - no snagging or damage.
The fit is not perfect. The back elastic is a tight fit. Hooking up you have to be careful as the hook could take your eye out. But it looks nice and do what it is supposed to - protect the chair frim spills. Other than the band being tight we are pleased with this item. A couple inches in length on the strap and the item would be 5 stars.
Bought large sofa size for my reclining loveseat, works better than the size recommended for for a 2 seater. If the reclining loveseat were cloth it would stay in place better, so I added elastic straps to keep it in place, it's pleather super slick.
I was concerned about the elastic since I don't like the appearance of that on furniture. However, these covers stay in place without moving anyway and what I really appreciate that they cover the whole arm of the chair. We have 2 dogs and I don't have to worry about paws or heads resting on the arms and leaving marks. Well worth the price.
Great product for protecting our furniture from our dog. Only issue was the charcoal colour that we bought from previous year seems quite a bit lighter than the one I bought a month ago. Otherwise great product.
I ordered three of these for the furniture to protect it from the dogs. It actually stays on quite well given they have no straps. It is light and washes up well. Cost effective and seems to be doing the job. Came quickly.
So far I am very impressed with these covers.
For the price they are a great buy. I have not washed them yet so I can’t give an opinion on that. I don’t think they are waterproof but I don’t require that
Fades after 2 washes, worn holes after only a month
Was just as advertised.Colour perfect and fits my furniture well.Very durable My furniture is leather so it moves a lot.
Perfect for my couch...protect against my messy little dog can do sometime
Love the fit and love the colour
Exactly what I was looking for, however, the elastic doesn't work with our sofa but the important thing for us was to have something to protect our sofa and new chairs.
The covers never stay on and fall off as soon as you sit down they should have elastics that wrap around the sofa to keep them in place
The protector it only fitted to 65 inch width sofa. I need a 74 inch one. I asked seller but seller didn’t respond me. Be careful of your purchase.
