I'm raising a GIANT teenager and he literally broke our last couch after flinging his linebacker-sized body onto it. So I searched and searched for something new to handle his size, weight and destructible nature. This couch kept appearing in numerous articles I read about "couches for big and tall men." The Amazon reviews were great, the price was right, and delivery was relatively fast (1 week). It arrived in a box that I thought couldn't possibly contain the components of a full sized couch, but I was wrong. Everything was packed perfected to prevent damage during shipping. The color was exactly as it's shown on the computer screen. There are few parts and you need no tools. Everything slides together easily. The cushions are firm, which is what I wanted. I cannot say enough good things about this couch.

one didn't hold up. it's ripped pretty bad from our dog resting over the top edge. the real problem is icould never get in touch with the manufacturer for the one year warranty and Amazon was no help sorry to say. first time for me. the other couch is okay so just be aware that you have no manufacturers warranty. buy the protection plan and have proof of trying to contact the manufacturer, the seller was no help either..

At this point price was the issue. Okay they are small, I mean small like not deep but they are fine.
Very firm almost hard.
Not for comfort but okay for just sitting and talking. My wife likes them they fit her perfectly.
The dog loves them. We are using them in a small living room mire like an entrance room not our main family room so they actually make the room look bigger.
The reviews that say they didn't go together right or something. I had no issues. The color was a little light but not bad. They are light weight but feel strong.
I'm 250 pounds and no issue.
So all and all I'd say they are good. But not for comfort. Just okay for comfort

UPDATE: Coming up on 5 years of owning this sofa (replacement). Updated from 3 to 4 stars. The sofa has held up very well. The color is still nice with no fading and the cushions, both seat and back, have not broken down. With that said, it does take a wee bit of getting used to. It's not a sofa one would wish to binge from for a weekend, but it's not overtly uncomfortable, either. We've napped on it many times over the years and haven't felt stiff backs. The material over the seat section, however, is beginning to go slack. It's still not a huge deal given the years it's held up, especially as a budget buy. Would recommend!

Package arrived around 8 am a day earlier than expected which was really nice. While the exterior box was scratched and marred pretty bad, the interior box that holds the sofa bits was nicely intact.

Unpackaged all the pieces and started to assemble the sofa to find that there were two left ends (armrests), and as the legs screw into the ends instead of the seat, the couch was unusable.

Amazon is shipping a new one (due to arrive within 5 days) with free UPS pickup of the original tomorrow.

Not that we were able to use the couch properly, we did feel that the seat, while firm, feels sturdy and plenty comfortable enough to sit and relax on for our movie nights. As for the back, while feeling a wee bit plush, we'll have to wait and see on the replacement if it'll be comfortable in height.

Overall, though, wrong parts notwithstanding, the color, the look, and the feel of the material is what we wanted and expected based on the picture (the 'brown' is more of tan).

Looking forward to the replacement. If all parts are correct, and the aforementioned remains the same, will replace with more stars.

The sofa is easy to assemble (screw the 4 MDF legs and snap the armchairs/backrest onto the main sofa) however is very heavy and might need a second person - I put everything together by raising the sofa on a long box and tilting it to one side). However I would not recommend it, and we had problems from the very beginning:

- the seller sent the sofa with delay and received it 10 days later with Amazon only apologising we did not get it in 4 days as it said on their site - very difficult to sit watching TV on chairs, as we moved into a new place and did not have a sofa or a table (another seller messing us with this)
- the driver left the sofa outside the main door, so I had to drag it myself (a small woman) inside
- the sofa had the arm rests different than in the Amazon pictures (the arm rests there were very elongated): nothing like the sofa we have received
- the arm rests had both the sponge destroyed underneath the fabric: imagine having the arm rests with a 'valley' in them and not straight. I suspect this will get only worse! I doubt the seller would put such a sofa in his house, why would he sell it to us like that?
- others complained you cannot 'curl' on the sofa - well, that is true: this is more like a waiting room sofa, unless you are a very tall man and can put your feet flat on the floor and have your back rested on the sofa - as a smaller woman I could not achieve the same, so I was in pain due to my medical problems not being helped with such a sofa!!!
- even if you put your whole body on the sofa with legs rested on it, you are not relaxed because the sofa is rather narrow

We were so tired of all these problems we noticed in a few days, we decided to go out there and 'try' some sofas - they were so good by comparison straight away we purchased a sofa almost double in price.

Worse, the seller created so many problems with the label and expected us to go to the local UPS store to return the sofa which we could not. Then Amazon persuaded the seller to organise pick up from our place: despite many calls, the seller put on the label the name of person who does not reside at this address - no idea how the seller 'picked up' the name of this person, however we had enough, printed the label, affixed it to the package and let's hope somebody will turn up to return it to the seller. Even Amazon had enough of them and already reimbursed us.
