We bought an Ashley sectional with two power recliner chairs on either end to place in the center of a media room. We actually debated about whether we should get power recliners or regular, given the fact that we have no floor outlets in the media room. In the end, we bought the power recliners since we like the way they function better. We figured we could awkwardly run cords under an area rug. But, we decided to investigate whether there was any kind of battery solution and VOILA! We found the Limoss batteries. So far, so good. Not sure how long the charge lasts but it's not like we have had to plug it in once a week. We've had the sectional for 2 months and have only recharged once. Great solution when you want a power recliner away from a wall with outlets.
I think the product works quite well, but there is a big caveat with it. We have 2 La Z Boy sofas using this battery, one of them with USB and one without. Other than that they’re the same sofa.
The sofa without USB lasts months and months without a recharge. However the sofa with USB lasts a few days before it’s dead. So something about that USB connection constantly drains the battery. Yes, I’ve swapped the batteries and the result is the same.
Not the fault of the battery, but I wish the seller could somehow really really point out this issue in a more effective manner. I would bet most the 1 star reviews have a USB sofa!
UPDATE 7/2019: These batteries last FOREVER. The one recliner that rarely gets used has been charged once I think in the last 16 months. The other one that's attached to 2 recliners and gets used a lot, has only had to have been charged twice I think. Really happy with this purchase still.
I've been very pleasantly surprised by these. I've had the single battery plugged into 2 couch recliners, via the splitter, for over 2 months and I've yet to recharge the unit. The one recliner gets quite a bit....we're a family of 4 and that is the main seat people choose. Only thing I'd say, is that I wish the cords (for the battery and splitter) were a little longer. Our recliners are split by a center console, and I the cords just made it. You also have to make sure you don't put the cords in a spot that when you put the recliner back down, it catches the cord and pulls it out. But once you have it set up, you don't have to mess with it, so no big deal.
This was our only option. Nearly every semi-decent sectional couch with recliners is electric. Our couch sits in the middle of a great room, not on a wall with an outlet. Tile floors, so any other routing isn't an option. I actually have 2 because of a third recliner on the far opposite end....that rarely gets used, so that thing might only get charged a couple times a year.
UPDATE 2/12/19: 6 months and 18 days before it needed another charge!
UPDATE 8/22/18: 7 months and 14 days, and it finally started beeping because it needed charged. Very impressive!
We have had this 4 months and 12 days. We started with a full charge and haven't had to charge it since. We use it every evening. We have been joking about how insane it is that we have never charged it. We're going to ride it out and see how long we can go. :-)
Two years ago, we purchased a sectional from the former Room Store that had 3 powered recliners, but they only had one battery available since they were going through Chapter 11 and inventory was frozen. We don't have floor outlets and got tired of dealing with cords running across the floor so we took the plunge. These power packs work great and with the setup that we have, once they're hooked up, they let you know when they need to be recharged. All we have to do is remove the power cords from their storage areas on the recliners and plug them into the closest outlet.
Worked perfectly with our Ashley furniture. All we had to do was take the cord the goes from the recliner into the power supply and plug that cord into the battery pack instead. Then the battery pack connects to the power supply. Once the pack is charged, unplug power supply and everything sits nicely under the recliner, out of sight. Much less expensive then what Ashley furniture wanted to purchase through them.
This battery pack is an absolute God-send. I got stuck in my recliner once during a power outage and was anxious being in the chair from that time on whenever bad weather threatened. No more! I have it plugged in-line to the floor outlet. The chair is powered by the wall outlet -- when we have a power outage, the chair immediately changes over to getting it's power from the battery pack. I couldn't be happier.
We bought this so that we could power our electric recliner without having to trip over a cord attached to the wall. In the description of the product, it says: "The Limoss battery pack holds enough charge to power over 150 cycles for your sofa, recliner, or loveseat. This typically lasts several weeks for a single recliner with normal use."
We did not even get 10 cycles before it died! Charging it is difficult because you have to tip the chair over, connect different cords, charge it, and then replace the battery when its charged again. Definitely not worth the money or the hassle it takes to charge it again and again and again.
Was advertised for 150 cycles, months of use on a single charge. Mine doesn't even last a week and gets about a 10th of the number of cycles.
Going to try and get a refund.
Works great. exactly as advertised.
Works well, still on the initial charge after 7 weeks
